When it came out eons ago, I loved the animated sequences of Ah-ha's 'Take on Me'. I still like it a lot.

I think what DarkFlame meant was the vidoe itself being done in complete animation, not an AMV ^^;;

mine is from a real one @_@;; a queer 80's one. also to add the one with animation Dire Straits has that song "brothers in arms" that is some of the first if not the first animation on mtv music videos, well 3-d animation. for thoes of you who don't know what i'm talking about a couple of the lyrics are "money for nothing and chick for free" and "We gotta install microwave ovens, custom kitchens, deliveries. We got to move these refrigerators, we gotta move these color TVs" why is everything interesting so much before my time ><;;

Go With the Flow - Queens of the Stone Age
This one's been floating in and out of my head for awhile. Very cool and kind of trippy! :D

The "Money for Nothing" video was one of Mainframe Ent.'s first productions. They later went on to produce ReBoot and a bunch of other really cool computer animation shows. Just another usless piece of trivia for you. :D

Don't worry, I was probably only a few years old when that video came out. The only reason I know is b/c I was (and still am to an extent) a big Mainframe Ent. fan. ^_^ Plus I pick up useless trivia where I can.

Clint Eastwood (why on EARTH is it called that?!?) by Gorlliaz is FUNNY! (IMO anyways) The whole rip off of Thriller makes me laugh. ^_^

(No, don't kill me! I just don't watch TV, especially not MTV a lot.)

Only one DP video was shown on MTV...or rather MTV2, and barely. It was a series of 4, the first 4 songs on the album, and they were actually shown on CN (they're done by Leiji Matsumoto, of Galaxy Express 999 fame)

Did the story in the videos ever end? I think in the last one they were dropped off on Earth (or somewhere like it), but did they ever really *end* the story? Just something I've been wondering for awhile...

'Heven Only Knows' by K-Os... only some of it is animated... but alas I love it.

Stuff from Prozzak... might not love all their songs... but their videos always make me laugh.

Oh... and no one mentioned 'Chocolate Salty Balls' by Issac Hayes... man that is classic...

along with Take On Me!

Silent Luciduty with Card Captor Sakura. It has some of the best editing and transitions I have ever seen. I am still awestruck everytime I see it. Tainted Donuts with Trigun/Bebop crossover is also awesome.

Probably one of the few Miyazaki projects that I liked...
Chage and Aska - "On your Mark" (English version called "Castles in the air")
Quite a pretty animated music video!

I love Glay's "Survival"... Morimoto again, and a Lain feel to it.
"White Reflexion" (Two Mix ) has a great video too.
If anyone knows Mylène Farmer (a French singer who's always had wonderful videos) she animated herself the music video for her song "Une belle journée". Very simple drawings, but cute ^^
