Has anyone else heard of/ seen this thing. I have to both, and as a theater geek I must say, it's pretty good. The story fell a bit flat near the end, but it was very entertaining and quite well done. Anyone else seen it? (I'll post my full review later.)

Can you tell us where to find it, if it is available on the web?

I have neither seen nor heard of "Bleach: The Musical".

It's on Youtube.

I personally love their wigs, especially Ichigo's and Hitsugaya's.

If I'm not mistaken, they have the first, Shinjuku, performance. The later one, which started in Osaka, has the same cast, but the story differs because they added Kira. A friend found it for me, so I don't know where to find it myself

Ahh, I've seen someone on this site with an icon of that Kira.
Loving the wigs on these guys. ^^

But....what's with the shiny hakama...?

But....what's with the shiny hakama...?

It goes with the similar style of flashy, sparkly, & shiny costumes like the other live-action musicals for anime. It started with Sailor Moon, then Sakura Taisen, and then Prince of Tennis.

LOL

I've got one song stuck in my head. It's called "hona sainara" or something like that.

I've seen it online and theatrically it's pretty good. Sometimes the music was out of the actors'/actress' range, but otherwise there were no real problems. And the range thing was fixed in the Saien version or whatever it was. Considering that it was a stage production, the 'shiny hakama' are necessary. How much would black cotton stand out on a dark stage from the viewer's POV? It's just extra quality control. If visuals are bad no one will go.

I love the music regardless. That one song...'taisetsu no koto' or something is really pretty.

*daughter of composer and music major and loves Japanese musicals* I am teh d0rk.

About the shiny costumes, it's because of the lighting. Black doesn't show up well under most stage lighting, so in order to see the details, you have to use a shiny material. (Like I said, I'm a theater geek.)

I really never watched the entire Bleach Musical. I shall now!

The first time I saw one of the songs, I was like "Awesome!" The guy who acts as Ichigo reminds me of Tamaki from Last Quarter...

I have heard of it but I haven't seen it. I will see it though, I'm waiting on the DVD to be posted to me atm. So far I think there are 3 Bleach musicals out (correct me if I'm wrong), they all follow the storyline of the anime/manga and from the stills I have seen the costumes and wigs are awesome! (its also pretty up to date, well at least with the Japanese anime)

There's five in all:

Rock Bleach Musical
Bleach Musical Saien
Bankai Live
No Clouds In Heaven
The Dark of the Bleeding Moon

The Dark of the Bleeding Moon was the final musical, I think. I have to check again.

Wow, people are still writing on this one...

How is Dark of the Bleeding Moon anyway? I've only seen the first one. (loved it... except for Orihime, she couldn't sing very well...)

Benihime>> Thanks for the links to the program of the shows :)

Since that you're as big a fan of Bleach Rock musical as me, then could you tell me, if the fillers from the anime is in it (? - I doubt it tough..) The part with the bounto.
