....er, firstly, is there anything besides Japanese music? ^_-

Um, but it's kinda hard to just name a 'type' - are you talking language, region, style or era? For vocals, I know I don't like English, French or Spanish music mostly because I usually don't want to be able to understand the lyrics. I know it's weird - but I just don't like the distraction. I guess if I had to pick a non-Japanese vocal, I'd go for Arabian or Chinese for sure. And wonderous language-mutating oddities such as Deep Forest (not the Japanese band, the -other- original one.) I either want the voice to just be another wordless instrument or no vocal at all...which I guess leads to game soundtracks as my preferred music choice over anything else...which even though they range from classical to celtic rock to trance to opera to jazz to endless etc. and through various languages, most of them are still technically Japanese in origin. Hehe, there's no way of getting around it.

mostly Digital Hardcore from Berlin

04-24-2003, 06:00 AM
Rammstein and Björk are playing very, very often at home ^^
I like Metal, generally speaking, and don't care about the country where it comes from. Anyway all of them sing in English, even if they're Italian (Rhapsody) or Bresilian (Angra).
There are a few French singers I like, Jean-Jacques Goldman and Renaud mainly. Good texts. Most of French hip-hop sucks, but MC Solaar is a true poet ^^... French bands I like : La Mano Negra, Téléphone... not that many, in fact.

Belgian techno

The Belgian/Italian/British Gregorian choirs

Artificial celtic (the smooth New Age celtic, real celtic is actually far different from that--closer to the type of stuff you'd hear in Riverdance)

Hindu/Apurimac (fuck--just new age in general XD)

Baroque (particularly Bach and Vivaldi)

I adore Björk, Lesium, Secret Garden, Cusco and t.A.T.u. -- all European artists
