What's your favorite instrumental song? Mine would have to be Battlestar Scratchlactica by Incubus (Make Yourself) and Milky Way by Shonen Knife (Let's Knife!)

This can include classical, but I was aiming at favorite instrumental song by musicians that don't usually do that genre of music. ^^:;; Sounds confusing.

Hm. I really like the opening to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. And I'm quite partial to Pachelbel's Canon. I like the piano version of Automatic by Utada Hikaru and First Love string mix. Hm...what else. I guess that's it.

I don't suppose video game soundtracks count. ^_^;

I actually really like the nonvocal/karaoke version of Illuminati, but that wasn't meant to be instrumental. It's just available.

Lesse... Tank!~ from Cowboy Bebop is mostly instrumental, and very nifty.. freesia by Gackt, perhaps. I'm blanking. ^_^;

Siam Shade's "Triptych", Rachel's Theme from FFVI, and aforementioned "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" by the Smashing Pumpkins. Also, at least HALF of the Pumpkins' "Pistachio Medley" found as a B-side on the ZERO single.

-Aeris Theme
-Scarlet from Ayashi no Ceres (Instrumental)
-LOTR - A Knife in the Dark
-Kuja's Theme (Evil!)
-Loss of Me
-Zelda 2 Hyrule Temple Theme

There's about 50 more. I really wouldn't choose a favorite.

The whole SSB:M Orchestrated CD...*drools*

The Trial In Concert (http://remix.overclocked.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00800)... It's a remix of The Trial theme from Chrono Trigger using just a Piano. One take. Beautiful.

Lots of stuff from Wind Waker soundtrack...

Edit: Ooh! I can't forget...music from Mega Man 2. That game had some great music...
