Oh...my... o_o

I suggest using wire, fun foam, and tulle net. I would use floral wire for her bang and wire from an untwisted wire hanger for the large part of her hair. Bend the wire into the proper shape, and then glue and/or sew the fun foam or tulle net onto the wire. Use the fun foam for anywhere for her hair that has flat, broad, surface, like the hair at the beginning of her bang or large chunk of hair, and tulle net for the smaller parts that twirl around. Then use crafter's glue, like Tacky glue, GemTac, or Jewel-It to glue extensions onto the wig, then hairspray in the end when everything's dry to make sure the fibers stay in place. I think people have had success with just using hairspray, but I haven't tried it with fun foam or tulle net yet so I'm not sure.

In the end, attach the wires to the wig with whatever creative means
necessary. I've stubbed my wig and wrapped the wire around the stub.

Good luck!

That looks reeeally complicated! I'm sure if you just had a semi-curly purple wig and just styled the bangs in a big swoop, no one would harass you about it... The ends can be kinked in the same way you would do hot-water curls.
That's just how I would imagine meeting it halfway, but chisainekocat's advice is the best for true accuracy. Good luck and post pictures!
