I'll be going either as a naruto character (anbu itachi, nidaime hokage or maybe sai), Amane Misa, or KH2 Riku. It really depends on my mood I'll probably bring most of my costumes and switch them throughout the day.

I may go as Axel from KH2 this year, though its not gonna be the same since I had so much fun going as "The Hero" from Dragonquest VIII:bigcry:

I can't wait until Connecticon. I like how it's pretty small because most of the cons that I go to throughout the year are very crowded and hectic. This one is nice and relaxing. Plus I'm probably bringing alot of first time con goers so its perfect for introducing them to the whole experience.

Small? When was the last time you were there! lol, I suppose it must be smaller than some cons, but its practically the only one I've been to, and I'd say it's grown to be pretty well medium sized.

My biggest fear for Connecticon this year is the timing. It's the week after AnimeNext and the week before Otakon. I may not be able to make it this year. (Trying not to be broke)

Ah Connecticon, my favorite convention of all. The crowd just seems so much more welcoming and friendly compared to other conventions.

Only four months, and nine days left ^----^

I'm definitely going to be there this year as Saber (Fate/Stay Night, In the masquerade) But I'm seeing about getting an original costume done in time. Depends if I get my serger in time.

yeah, CTcon is not little, by far, just really spread out well, but i think there was over 4k people at the highest point. AND seeing how the changes they are making I forsee more people. AND they have been going to other cons to promote it. AND this it going to be the 5 or 6 year. AND hahaha I am in a AND mood. ok back to work need to get my cosplay done

Connecticon is TEH BOMB. Aside from Anime Boston, it was by far the best time I had at a con last year (the first time I went to CT-con.) The best part was all of the webcomic artists. I really enjoy meeting and talking with other artists, and they are incredibly friendly and they know how to PARTY! ;)

I wouldn't say it was a "small" con by any means-- but it depends on what cons you are comparing it to.

Since I am boycotting AnimeNext and Otakon *indefinitely*, I will most certainly be at Connecticon. Probably doing Anime Boston stuff in Con Row.
Also, I will (hopefully) have my top-secret cosplay done by that time as well. CT-con would be the perfect con to debut it at, IMO.

Anyone been to PortConMaine and Connecticon? I'm wondering how the sizes compare. Thanks!

Well compared to something like anime boston which has been around for about the same time it isn't that big, but whatever it's still a good con and thats what my point was.

Gale

AB was big from the beginning, as I understand. Connecticon has grown a bit since it started. It still isn't huge, but its not small either. Um...I wish I was more helpful, but the only other cons I've been to are ConBust (tiny) and I-Con (HUGE). It's big enough to not get bored, but small enough that there's still a close knit family feel to it.

PortConMaine gets something like 1,500 people.
ConnectiCon gets something like 3,000 people.
Anime Boston will have over 10,000 people in a couple weeks.

I'll be at all three.

I really cannot wait until CTCon, it was my very first con last year and I had so much fun! I've learned from some mistakes that I made with being prepared and this year, I'll make sure to plan out my days more carefully so that I can have a more enjoyable experience and less confusion.

to what? My birthday? :toothy: lol, no, I know AB, right? Kind of off topic, but yah, 'tis awesome ;)

After next weekend I finally might get a chance to start on my Lina Inverse costume. Well, once I find time around my studies, other such school activities, and FINDING A JOB x_x

I really want this costume to come out well!!!! Lina's my favorite character and I've been waiting to do this costume since 2002! I hope I have time to do it justice. You really don't see all that many well done Linas around :(

Gale-chan's birthday!^^ I shall be seeing you there, at AB in general, and today at rehearsal for the Connecticon Musical. For which we still need a Tuxedo Mask and a Cloud. And I made a post here and I can't find it. I fail. >.<()

Well, if anyone here reads this and can sing and cosplay Cloud or Tuxedo Mask, feel free to get back to me. And if you see Gale-chan at AB, wish her a happy birthday!

.........right. This post was supposed to be about CTcon.

.....CTcon is the best! Bootyshort Kakashi! Badge checking! Dancing djs! Huzzah! ^^()

It hasn't been replied to in a while, so to see it you have to change the "display options" at the bottom of the forum page.

So...yah....after you told me I look like Winry....I got on google and looked around a bit....you are more right than you know! Practically the same height & weight even!! (not to mention the obviously same hair & eye color)

oooooh.....crap...the musical's going to be Friday, right???? I'm kind of counting on that....since I need to dye my hair for Lina and don't really want to go out and buy a blond wig >_>

but yah, anyway...I think just for the hell of if I'll be cosplaying Winry too this year. Hmm...guess that means I need to start watching FMA....

I'm not sure if it's going to be Friday or Saturday. Did you say you're dyeing your hair? O.O What color?

PS- I love the Hairspray song you sent me. I've already been working out a script for the musical next year, and I wanted to do a number from Hairspray for the opening, but since I'm not familiar with the show at all, I couldn't come up with one (I just was thinking Hairspray cause I know the style of the show and I thought it would be a good bubblegum happy style to open the show with).

But the Songstresses will be featuring veeeery prominently next year, if we go with the script I've been proposing to Ryan and Jess.^^

Oh! I'll also be attending as Yohn from Suikoden Tactics.

(Digigrade legs are fun to make, as long as they aren't stilts ^^;; )

Temporary dye, but yes. It will be red (something like this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v206/gale583/red.jpg)) for about three weeks or so. Long as I have time to do so before judging I'm good. Otherwise I'll be needing a blond wig >_>

Also, while I still want to be involved in the show next year a whole bunch...I will give you the warning now that I'm applying to BADA so I may be out of the country from January until late April/early May. I hope that won't effect my involvement too heavily though >_>

My current cosplay plan for ConnectiCon is:

First Day - Kairi (Kingdom Hearts II; Pink Dress)

Second Day - Ash Ketchum (Pokémon Diamond & Pearl)

Third Day - Yasuna Kamiizumi (Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl)

Nothing will change UNLESS the masquerade is on a Friday. Even though, I'm pretty sure it won't be.
