ok, i'm doing a soi fong cosplay and was wondering...
how on earth do u tie one of those knots for the sash? its the same for pretty much every shinigami (there are exceptions, but usually its the same)
i have a feeling that this will involve some sewing.

here a refrecne pic

darksunshine, how wide is the sash you're using to tie it?

wrap it around once, then twice and then bow. totally not rocket science.but since my sash wasn't as long, i just did it once and did a bow. looked nice. just remember do NOT put the sash around the back of the hakama. you tuck it behind the backboard.

I took a long look at that also, having cosplayed Ichigo last year and building my hollow-ichigo costume as we speak. White sash, wrapped around the waist twice, then tie 2 bows right on top of each other. Its pretty tough to get the bows horizontal and not start turning, but with some twisting and tweaking its possible. Then just tuck the lose ends back into the sash so that only the bow parts hang free.

wha-lah.
