Who has seen the series and then read the manga or vise versa? The manga is sooooooo much better! Somehow they messed it all up in the anime, the manga does kind of confuse me though cause it's just so different from the anime. Not saying the anime is bad, cause it's damn good, except for the STUPID filler episodes! >_<; Anyway, just wanted to know what other people thought of it. Even of the series. =P

I fully agree... the manga blows the anime away... it does most of the time... I felt the same way with Dragonball, it's to the point! No filler crap that makes the overall anime series seem...worse

28 volumes total, 255 chapters I believe...

Jinchuu arc is great. :bigtu: I may be Enishi yet one of these days...

The manga is so much better than the anime. It's much more complete -- for lack of a better word. The anime skipped whole arcs -- including my favorite one.

Recca: good taste, BTW. :bigtu:

*nod nod* Yes, finally, people who agree with me. I also don't undertsand why they won't translate it. I mean, it'll most likely be better in Japanese but it's still confusing that they've dubbed the whole series and still won't translate the manga. I mean, they haven't by far finished dubbing Inuyasha and they're translating the manga. Sheesh...

Yes, I believe it's because the series is so long. It would take a lot of funds to commit to the whole series. At least that's what I've heard. I've only been able to pick up a few volumes here and there at cons. (Starting with the appearance of Enishi! Yay!) But it would rock if someone would translate the series.

For people who can read French, the manga's translated in French by GlÚnat, and if the translation is not completed yet it's close to.
Not the best adaptation around, but for people who can understand French it's nicer than japanese. And they're not very expensive.

I wouldn't see why they want to translate it for those who don't read the Japanese versions; Viz is STILL doing their Ranma 1/2 manga and that's been done well over five years ago (or was it longer?)
All I Can say is I'm happy with my autographed 1st manga from Watsuki-sama ^_^ (And getting it was troublesome in itself...*sigh*)

Wah, so lucky!! >D

I see what you mean though, all the translating companies are lazy right? >D Man, I just love that face too much...

I've read about half of the RK manga, and it was really really good. Jinchuu arc! Enishi!! I still wish they'd animated that. :( It was such an amazing arc. Way better than what they showed in the second half of the RK anime. Even so, the anime version does have its pluses: the fight scenes are way better animated than they are in the manga, IMO, among other things. So I'm not really sure which I prefer. If the anime had the Jinchuu arc and less filler episodes, I'd go with the anime, but of course it doesn't. :P
