We will be planning this out better next week, but here's the gist of it:

The night before the picnic, Aeris and I will be hitting the store for the meat part. We will be buying enough hot dogs, burgers and chicken to have enough to go around. We'd like it if everyone brought something like a bag of chips, or buns, or maybe a 6-pack of soda or water. Special stuff like deserts or pasta salads or anything similar are fine too. I'll bring a couple of big things of mustard, ketchup, relish, etc.

Tupperware and containers are welcome too. Be sure to have your name on it somewhere so that it doesn't get lost in the midst of other containers.

Please post what you intend on bringing in this thread. Once we have enough replies I'll start a master list and post it on the site, this way we can see what's missing and if people can't figure out what to bring we'll know what to suggest.

Please remember that this is an all-day event. Though not everyone will be staying the entire time, do remember that if you're going to be there all day, that could equal two meals and quite a few drinks.

I'll bring 2 or three bags of chips (two for sure, just a maybe on #3). I'll bring a plan variation for dips, but I can't bring dip. My mom just informed me that the picnic is about 2 days before pay-day. That means hardly any money.. oi...

*cough* Anyway, to cut a long story short (too late) 2-3 bags of chips and if somebody else can bring, like, ranch dip that'd be great! ^_^

By current count we're looking at anywhere from 45 to 65 people in the RSVP thread alone. I'm putting the conservative estimate at around 60 showing up.

Aeris and I are bringing: Hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken for about 60-70 people. Hamburger buns and hot-dog buns. Also, we're probably bringing a 6-foot subway sandwich. We're estimating this will equal 1.5 meals per person since not everyone will be staying the whole time.

We will also be bringing a ton of paper plates and plastic silverware, and cups.

We need: about 8-10 cases of soda, and maybe 2-3 cases of water. If anyone wants to bring juice or something too that's cool.

Looks like people are bringing quite a bit of chips/salsa/salad/other goodies.

Anything I'm missing?

Hey this is Oscar, Jarod's over here and he doesn't want to log in. He says that it's about 48 buns but he can buy 64 if you want. He'll be able to afford it. He says you can scratch it off the list and he'll take care of it.

I just came back from a store with a soda sale.

I can confirm 24 cans of Pepsi, 12 cans of Squirt, and a 2L bottle of Diet Pepsi (for anyone else that can tolerate that stuff).

I just made the salsa... the tomatos don't have that much flavor but the oinions are sweet and the yellow and orange bell peppers are sweet as well. The tomatos were extreemly juicy so they should gather some flavor soaking in the others juices.

I'll try it Saturday night to see how it tastes.

Joe

Is that a request?
Don't get me wrong- I don't cook, I'm planning on picking up Marie Calendars, so one thing is just as easy as another. ^-^ I was thinking something like chocolate and razzleberry. Would you rather have chocolate and momo? momo and razzleberry?

Condiments are taken care of, if we run out we can head to the store for more.

Just a FYI, here's what Aeris and I are bringing for sure after spending the day shopping:

48 hot dogs
25-30 sausage/brats
54 hamburgers
16 veggie burgers
35-40 chicken breasts (half will be marinated, half plain)
Around 120 pieces of cheese (American/Cheddar)
200 plates
Lots of plastic silverware
200 plastic cups
1000 napkins
a 6' sub from Subway (half turkey, half Cold Cut Trio)
Condiments: BBQ Sauce, Ketchup, Mustard, Relish
48 hot dog buns
70-80 hamburger buns (1/2 seedless)
Charcoal
Lots of ice

So we'll have enough meat to feed around 100-120 people, if 60-80 people show up that gives about 1.5 meals per person.

Mah.

Too poor to make anything like my usual party food, so I'll be bringing in Three-Pasta salad.

For those of you with allergies to certain foods, this has egg, tomato, and spinich pasta, tomato slices, black olives, mushrooms, and a mix of Basalmic Vinegar and Italian dressings. I'd hate for someone to eat some and have their throats shut. ._.'

If you haven't decided on anything we can always use more soda/drinks and stuff like that. Cans preferrably, anything from a 6-pack to a case depending on your budget. :)
