I don't know where else to post this, but since the cases are from my music CDs...

What do people do with their cases?

I've collected quite a bunch of music CDs, and I've placed them into the binders. Now, I have a big stack of empty jewel cases that take up room...

I have a stand for all my cases. Most of the cd's are still in them, but my favourite cd's usually travel around with me in a seperate carry case for just the cds. ^_^

Sometimes you can find groups to donate those things to for art projects and stuff. I'm sure there's a kids group or some kind of org that might want a bunch of them.

I don't know if they can be recycled in the traditional sense (you know, with your plastic water bottles and stuff), but that could be an option as well.

As for me, all my CDs (almost 400 of 'em) are in binders... but I can't bring myself to get rid of the cases 'cause of the back cover art. LOL

I like to keep them in their original case, but if I listen to them a lot I take them out and put them in a mini-wallet. The ones that are in the cars (all 16 of 'em divided between the 2), I keep their cases in the nightstand drawer, along with the CDs that dont' fit in my tower.

positivespace, if you pry loose the CD holder thing from the plastic case really carefully, you can get the slip in the back and do other stuff with the cases ^_^

I keep my anime OSTs in thier cases, and the cds that go in my binders find a nice home in my closet, where they somehow disappear. :(

Kurenai... I know that I can take the back cover art, but that leads to the whole: "Now where do I put the back cover art now that I don't have the case?"

It's a viscious cycle. ;D
