I want to cosplay as either Mcbeth or Hamlet from teh air gear musical. but I don't know how I could make either of their costumes. I will most likey attempt mcbeth cuz I luv akira the person who plays mcbeth. but I migh try hamlet cuz he's an awesome drama king. but before I choose does anyone have any clue how I could make either of their costumes cuz I'm at a loss.
ps I'll most likey go with Mcbeth
I may sound like I'm talking shakespear but I'm not, well sorta they act out a strange scene from romeo and juliet but still thats not the point

On the contrary, m'dear! There's a small fanbase of us Airmyu fans, just... not very many on cosplay.com. Thankfully for your bump, I managed to see this thread. 8D From one future Bacchus cosplayer to the next, I hope I can be of some help.
Of course, the first step to making a costume, regardless of which character you're doing, is to have a lot of reference pictures. I've got links to screencaps and scans... but unfortunately they're on my other computer. >__>;; I'll be home this afternoon, though, so I'll post them later.
If there's anything you want to ask in specific, go ahead and do it while I'm gone, and I'll answer them later. *bows*

wootz! :D The Air Gear musical is hilarious and cool. I can't understand a word of it, but I love it. Anyways, yes, start with many many many MANY reference pictures. For McBeth, most of his costume looks like it'll have to be sewn. However, if you just get a red jacket, you may be able to put some black on it, some cords, and some other stuff. His costume doesn't look hard, but it definately looks like it'll take some time. If you are going to find a red jacket, it'll be pretty hard, because you'll need a stiff collar (I'm pretty sure that's a stiff collar I see on the jacket), which isn't really what you'd find with a zip up jacket, and you also have to find the right plaid-ish print (The jacket looks like it zips up, and you can just add the black fabric and buttons on, put the cording, and sew in a black sleeve on the right side, add the black and buttons on the left side to make it look like it's part of the cuff, you can easily find armwarmers, you'll have to get the jacket long enough so you can cut it and make the right bottom hem) However, I'd personally go with sewing the jacket, so I could make it as close to the real one as possible. As far as the pants and boots go, those are pretty simple, you can easily find those. Okay, that's a rough overview. :-/ If you need any more indepth help from me, you know where to reach me. :)
