ok heres the thing ive been looking all over the forums and i just cant find what i need. I want to make a shinigami's out, particularly Ise Nanao's but either way, I am HOPING that people who made shinigami outfits from scratch would be able to help me >.<

I have no sewing machine so if someone can make a REALLY detailed tutorial on how to make all the things in the shinigami outfit..and i mean everything...you shall forever be a GOD in my eyes x.x

Without a sewing machine?..Aaah, that would be kinda hard, since, it would require alot of sewing. But, I'll see what I can do.

Basic knowledge. The Shinigami outfit consist of a few clothing. The Hakama pants, Kimono and sash. You can easily look on google and look for "How to make Pleated Hakama pants" and you should find one. For the Kimono, again, google search. Remember, there are two kimonos, black and white.

The sash is pretty straight forward, but be sure to make it long enough to wrap around your body two times.

Here are a few tutorials I picked up from google. Hope they help.

Pardon me for asking, then, but why should someone else do it for you if you're too impatient to do it yourself?

If you're going to hand-sew 2 kimono and a pair of hakama (i.e. lots of seams), I imagine you're going to require patience in spades.

There's also this button, when you're in a thread, near the top of the page, in a purple bar, that says "search this thread". It works the same way as a "search this forum" button. That should cut the time down for you. If you need tips on how to search, click the link in my sig for a tutorial.

Lawl, good point, Eleryth.

Anyhow, theres the Bleach Thread. Look for "Hakama pants" and "Kimono, Haori" or whatnot. If you still can't find what your looking for, post at the thread, or look around for people who hand-sewn their shinigami clothing and PM them.

Good luck on your cosplay :3

i have experience with this! i started on my first shinigami uniform before i had a sewing machine. the tutorials i used were this (http://taeliac.deviantart.com/gallery/48642?offset=24#/d11warx) and this (http://taeliac.deviantart.com/art/Tutorial-Make-your-own-hakama-111051613). halfway through the hakama, my poor fingers couldn't take any more abuse, so i got a cheap sewing machine. i've since made three more, and they've all come out great

in general, this style of clothing is made from large rectangles. the hakama were very easy for even me to make, but it's important to follow that kimono tutorial exactly for it to come out right. at one point it will look backwards, but don't be tempted to try to figure it out yourself. just follow the instructions and it will turn out right

i definitely suggest thimbles if you're going to do a lot of hand sewing

*note: these tutorials are for costume use only and are not designed to be completely accurate
