This is for AnimeFests greatest memores! I have a few that I remember.

I know there is an aftermath thread... but this is for the memories........

Like, me as Inuyasha the first time going into the convention as him I destroyed part of AnimeFest with the tetsusaiga....I tore a new hole for the photoshoot papers...actualy at that time my friend had my sword and I just yanked it to hard and the sword hit the board.

Another memory that I had was when I was dressed up as 'Princess Inuyasha" or some would call me; Inu-momo or sumomoyasha and I had just came down stairs.....and dropped my bag and a whole bunch of bleach characters came my way! O.O and so I grabbed the tetsusaiga and held it up high, and a lot of people asked me about it and I started cracking up.

All of the macarena moments!

hmmmmm.....The limbo/little sally walker moments.......

thats all I can remember for now...

Always running into the people I know on Cosplay.com.

The Dating Game, all of it.

Chris Ayres' stage combat workshop.

ALL voice actor panels(this con made me finally nail down what I want to do for a living, working in the anime industry)

Me and my roommates/friends were in a state of euphoria/high at 1:00 am Sunday morning. We were hungry, and tired, and waiting for our food to arrive at the hotel(we ordered it at 1:20, didn't get there till almost 3:00). All this combined into us acting...well, high.

United Fellas was a VERY fun concert, imho. Not as fun as FLOW, but still fun.

Bad memories:
- Fighting with my boyfriend
- Having 3 big security guards scold me and telling me to "calm down" after I accidently fell while wearing my 5-inch tall boots. The part that annoyed me the most was that they didn't bother asking if I was okay, and just instantly statted telling me to "calm down".

Good memories:
- Shouting "WHOO!" after they introduced Amelie at the webcomic panel and she said "I thought I told you to stay in the car!". And then when they asked if anyone didn't know what webcomic were someone raised their hands and I shouted "OUTLANDER!"
- My entire photoshoot with Kuragiman which was my first solo photoshoot and it was SOOOO much fun!
- Going to my first concert ever and having a blast and even getting to shake the hand of the guitarist. I had never had my ears hurt so much and been so happy at the same time.

There might be more but those are the ones I can think of right now.

Anime Dating game.
lol Being a dead bacholerette was fun. XD

Meeting all the voice actors, especially Quintinn Flynn and proposing to him using my Final Fantasy Turk ring I bought. XD Hehe

Having fun playing Little Sally Walker with everyone and playing Guitar Hero II was great. In a way, I don't have anything to complain...except loosing my LG chocolate phone. T_T
Yet, new one soon. :D

Oh! Let's not forget the dumb fire drill...and how funny it went with the Rave. XD

Oh lawd... Where to start...

FINALLY getting to start a cosplay line dance. That was so freaking worth it and dear god I doubt I've ever had more fun. Thanks to anyone and everyone who participated, you just made this con the best con I've ever been to.

HAVING PEOPLE RECOGNIZE ME AS COOKING MAMA~! Wondaful, betta zen mama! <333

Being a total assclown at the Shinigami March. I sang loud and managed to get people to LOSE THE GAME in large quantities. <3~ Thanks for singing along if you were actually crazy enough to do so.

The Bleach Party. 'nuff said. I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life. TENACIOUS D vs. ZOOLANDER: WHO WILL WIN?! (we all know it's Zoolander)

Seeing bleach characters tear through a pizza like tissue paper. In three seconds that thing was like gone. Completely. xD

 When I was pulling up to the Valet, I thought I saw either a cosplayer or a real priest. Turns out it was a priest. XD My friends and I were like "OMG!...what's this about?"

I didn't' have problems with the Christ-con. (Not sure what it was, so my friends called it that.). lol Still, everyone was cool with what we do here..least some far as I know.

I'd have to say being a Svedish man was pretty epic.

DCC room was amazing, as it should be.

Also going into the elevator with voice actors and having no one around me but me recognize them, and then having them ask them what they do and if they're having fun at the con. (*cough* cowbean *cough*)

Going to the United Fellows concert and rocking out with all my crazy roomies ! (I love you guys!), getting to see my boyfriend (Luv you hun!), loosing my voice, breaking the thing on the back of the TV to hook up my ps2 so we could watch anime and play DDR until ungodly hours of the morning (sorry ppl who were staying in room 427...), spending a good portion of my con money playing the VCcorps mechs game, getting lost in the crowd, meeting Scott McNeil (fangirls), being Yoruichi in the Shinigami March (woot for wearing thin clothes!) watching that awesome Hitsugaya roll down the hill in union station after the Shinigami March, ignoring the fire alarm Saturday night, being serenaded and watching a Chii cosplayer imitate the guitarist, going up to reunion tower, making new friends and getting to see the old and last but not least the "Whatitdo?" guys from the elevators Friday night, may you stay drunk forever...

well let's see....no bad memories, I think my favorite memories, are of course going to the voice actors panel and getting some autographs, also ALMOST castrating Scott McNeil with my sword...it was totally an accident btw....OH and before I forget, to those of you who didn't get a hug from him, he is FREE of the con funk, and actually smells quite nice. Next time y'all should take the opportunity to get a good whiff xD; and of course, making the most INSANE film about Cid and Reno watching a soap opera and getting choked up. IT'S A TRAP XP

The Bad:
- Getting called to come in to work after I'd said I needed the days off, and getting reamed about it... only to learn later that it was a misunderstanding on the part of my boss.
- Being in pain (that was my own fault though... fresh tattoo and loss of skin from binding = ouch)
- Feeling/getting jilted by people I knew.

The Good:
- Having a guy in the elevator from the Catholic convention see see us in costume and say "I want to go to that convention instead!"
- Making new friends during the Cosplay Intermission
- Getting to (finally) meet Scott McNeil.
- Sunday's dance (the first I've ever gone to that I ENJOYED).
- Plotting costumes for next year.

Good memories:

(If you want the complaints read the other threads about complaints. lol )

#1 First, I'd like to say that this was my first (big) real convention to go to.

#2 Being a model, I must say, it is always great to get to work with new photographers. ESPECIALLY photographer that are well known! Thanks to Kuragime (hope I spelled that right) for the private shoots of both PGSM and Burst Angel! And thanks to SkyPirate for taking time to work with us in our Burst Angel costumes!

#3 Debuting our Burst Angel costumes! We worked so hard on them and were so excited to wear them. I loved the response to it. We had a lot of pics taken with and for people and even got glomped a few times by people who recognized us. It was well worth it. The people who knew the series were all very shocked and happy and the people who didn't know it were amusing to watch the reactions of as we walked by. Only problem, I pinned my badge to the back of my chaps and the darn thing kept sliding into them as I walked and it was COLD! So every now and then Jo would squeel!

#4 The greatest memory of all was the very end, getting hugs and fairwells from the few people there who made us feel welcomed. One of the staff and the VAs that were there at the end are the reason we will come back. Thanks to Chris and Josh especially for the random hugs and the intelligent conversations, Greg for just being Greg. That was the coolest because (as I told him in a total fangirl moment) he is one of the very few voice actors that when I recognize the voice I totally squeel.

#5 The rave rocked, right up until the fire alarm fiasco and the lady in my face, but that's a compaint to be read elsewhere. The rave party was awesome and so much fun. Thanks to the dude that sort of danced with Gidget and I. You were a blast!

#6...... The private bedroom photo shoot with Jo and Meg. ;) LOL

Okay, I'm going to say it.

That whole thing? It was embarrassing to watch and a hell of a train wreck. It made me feel almost ashamed to be in the same building. You kids need to remember you're in a public place next time you consider such a stupid idea.

I was almost run over...one can only move so quickly in Hooker Boots. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a premeditated sort of thing; everyone has ideas that seem like a good idea, at the time.

As it stands, though, I'm pretty sure that the hotel staff did not appreciate the bondage stampede...I saw a cop that looked pretty pissed.

Anyway...good memories!? A-fest was my favorite con last year, and this year that still goes. I met the nicest people. :)

GarnetteMermaid

Yes, I nearly got stampeded as well. I definately understand the inability to run out of the way while wearing spiked heels. lol My Queen Beryl costume had total stripper shoes under it too. I had platformed and spiked heels on those shoes. lol

Fae.

P.S. Not that any of you care, but just so you know, I'm changing my sn on this to my normal sn for everything. Look for me to post under FaeandMerfolk soon. This account was originally supposed to be just for my mermaid, Garnette, because I generally try to keep her seperate from other costuming.

Hmmm... Memories...

Arriving at 3 am on Saturday morning and immediately seeing people we knew! LOL It was even better because they didn't recognize me without my Sailor Moon wig on.

THE ELEVATOR RIDES ALL THE WAY UP AND DOWN! *squeels*

Getting hugs while in costume.

Having people STILL come up and feel my Sailor Moon wig to see if it's my real hair or not.

Having one of the booth owners give me an adorable button of Diana, Artemis and Luna because she remembered me from AKon.

Original Dr. Pepperness...

The Sailor Moon Photoshoot...

Getting asked by SkyPirate if he could take my picture. AAAAHHH! So cool!

Getting to do TWO photoshoots with Kuragiman who rocked, and was not only an awesome photographer but a fan of both series!

The rooftop photoshoot of coolness.

Getting glomped to the point of losing my balance and nearly falling over.

Premiering new costumes. New costumes WORKED.

Wearing new costumes when I'd put the final touches on mine MOMENTS before walking out the door.

The Awesome Vash.

Meeting real live true AMAZING Voice Actors. And getting to actually hang out and talk with Chris, Josh and some others after the con was technically over.

Seeing friends from AKon and OK. *huggles Secretletters10 and the cool Momiji*

Getting to carry guns!

Having people still not recognize me without my wig.

Having my real hair called a wig, and my wig called my real hair. LOL!

Going to a rave and watching the spinning lights!

Meeting new people and getting new Cosplay.com and Cosspace friends.

Making plans... hehehe...

Stopping at a Loves on the way home, still in costume, and getting all sorts of interesting looks while trying to dig through the back of my truck for real clothes...

Oh there are more, but this is insanely long enough... I may post more later.

My favorite memories from this con were being with my Ouran group that I met at Afest. ^^ I stalked about the dealers room after having seen a Takashi for a few spilt seconds, and then saw him with the twins and a Tamaki. After that I was welcomed into the group as their Hani, and for photos I was tossed up onto Takashi's back. I love my Hani costume, and someone even called me 12 while I was in it, although I'm about to be 16. XD

Yes, yes.. Stopping at Loves and going in wearing a crop top, black panties and cut-off Vinyl chaps with cowboy boots and red eyes was amusing to say the least. It was cold in there too.

I think they thought I was a Lot Lizard. lol But my cowboy bubba next to me warded off any advances. heh heh

Alright, I had a lot of good memomries from A-Fest. Really, it's probably my favorite convention I've been to so far. You were all so friendly and everything was just, wow. ^_^

Alright, people complaining about the Bondage Train, you have to admit it was pretty funny at the time. I didn't participate in it [I was too busy shopping xD] but I was laughing my ass off at how much it grew everytime they came around. Not to mention the Spartan "AHOOOO!" they all did. Besides, things like this are expected. They don't last very long, and it's just a bunch of younger kids having fun. Let them enjoy their fun up until it gets too out of hand. No need to get sand in your coochie about it. D:

I mean seriously guys, if yall are going to complain about something let's complain about that stupid wannabe-goth chick who put on a sand headband and jumped into the naruto photoshoot without a costume. -_- That's what pissed me off. I couldn't believe everyone just let her ruin the picture. D; I sat there going "HEY, GET OUT OF THE SHOOT!" but she couldnt hear me and she tried to make it look like she was part of my friends cosplay, and tried to play it off that she was "Temari on her day off."

Oh jesus, and the little girl who danced like a hooker whore during the Sally Walker game. D: I told her if she keeps dancing like that she's going to attract Pedobear. >_<

OMG I know! I mean...who's kid was that and why was she dancing dirty at a young age? It was kind of disturbing, but Little Sally Walker was awsome. XD

It utterly disgusted me. She told me she was ten and tried to appear older than me. I said "Little girl, you are ten. I am sixteen. Six years older than you. You aren't supposed to be dancing like that. Young ladies don't dance that way. D:<" and to which she replied "YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS BECAUSE YOU CANT DANCE AS GOOD AS I CAN!" and I said "DAMMIT WOMAN, YOU'RE ATTRACTING PEDOBEARS." Which she did. She proceeded to dance in that horrifying manner in front of this 50-year-old man who joined in our game. He looked as if he didn't know weather to laugh or throw up. D:

But when I saw her leave the eleavator and the doors started closing I yelled to her "YOU GONNA GET RAPED!".

I also had to stand in line with that girl, her sister, and their family during registration.b:lost:

Honey Usagi-chi
09-08-2007, 10:27 PM
She's really 10? I've been thinking, since this is a family convention, I was planning on going to the suggestion thread and suggesting some dress code if you're not cosplaying. If you're cosplaying something rather....forward...you must present a reference to the character I've seen enough girls that are younger than me (I look 12 too, despite my age) that look like they're going to a strip club. Especially people my age, it's a CONVENTION for god's sakes *hits head* I don't get what's going on in their heads!

If it's too unreasonable to ask about, should there be an age requirement to dress so slutty then? My high school isn't even that bad and girls are having sex with 35 year olds and getting pregnant (Not joking, that happened) Like 17 for a requirement?

They are both bad for the same reasons. Sorry, can't excuse one and not the other. Both are trainwrecks and put on a horrid display of our fandom to outsiders.

Alright, people complaining about the Bondage Train, you have to admit it was pretty funny at the time. I didn't participate in it [I was too busy shopping xD] but I was laughing my ass off at how much it grew everytime they came around. Not to mention the Spartan "AHOOOO!" they all did.

Oh hey, just to clarify things the spartans were us, and we were trying to stop the train (as seen on Saturday, it didn't work. they plowed right through us) I was the guy with the mask in the Yukata on the end.

For my first con, I really got more out of it as an observer. My best memories were definately of people watching and posing for/ taking lots of crazy video and photos. The yaoi song, by Quinton and Jeff, was hilarious as well. :crylaugh:

Oh! That was you? Your skit completely owned!!! 'Twas extremely witty and clearly spoken, too. A lot of the skits were funny, but hard to hear. Yours had to be one of my faves overall. Oh, and thanks for posing for a couple of cute pics with me! When I first started watching anime some 4 years ago, Miroku was one of my favorite characters, so seeing your cosplay brought back a lot of nostalgia. :)

laughing my butt off at the bondage train.

standing in line to buy something to eat and hearing "I've got you now flame alchemist" and being tackled by one of the hottest Winry's I have ever seen.

playing the longest game of little sally walker ever and being proposed to like 20 different times

meeting someone that proposed to me later and them saying no really lets run to vegas

hearing a guy the next day say "hey I proposed to that guy yesterday"

Yelling WHAZZUP in a hotel room after the security guy just got done yelling "What the hell is going on in here, what is with all these kids in this room, do you know you can get in trouble if any of them are minors and you have alcohol in here, are there any adults in here?"

Lol Did we break the record in playing Little Sally Walker for the longest time? I wanted to pass out after skipping in circles. That was an awsome night. ^^

Hmm...The Bad: I caught the con plague and ate bread soaked in water for half the con (I lost weight cause of that).

The Good: I GOT MY SCOTT HUG!!!! Meeting our Elena for our turks skit (I was Reno...for your own sanity, take away the pixie stix!!!!) Getting my Quinton hug and having him sign my E.M.R. *dreamy sigh*. Having alot of people tell me to get on here and found the DFW Cosplay Coalition (www.zephira.net/dfwcosplay go join now). YAOI SONG!!!! And getting SkyPirate to wait a few minutes so we could get our Elena for our photo shoot.

I'd have to say, being one of the few Edward Elrics there, having my Ed costume finally compleated, and being in the cosplay contest as Ed. ^-^ But sadly, I have no pic of me from AFest... T.T

MY FONDEST MEMORY...

The Hyatt overcharging my account by $180, sending my bank account to the negatives which got me a $50 overcharge fee, and making it to where I had NO money for anything! Then they offer me two free breakfest platters for all the trouble they caused, and then they CHARGE ME FOR HAVING THE BREAKFEST DELIVERED!

UGH! I love the Hyatt, but I don't know if I'll ever stay there again!

Good Lord... O__O; I assume they fixed their mistake and refunded what they overcharged you?

It was my first big con and I got attacked by a girl in white while I was dressed up as Jo from Burst Angel (also got hugged as Queen Beryl a few times. lol I love hugs as long as its careful not to mess up my costume) The girl totally threw herself at me and I was technically holding her up. I'm very surprised I kept my footing since she was a bit bigger than me (most people are). lol When she left she had blue paint on her white spandex from my arm paint.. Had to go re-apply, but it was funny as heck...

Bad memory was that thanks to the dumbutt kids who thought it would be cool to pull the alarm, I got yelled at by the con staff during evacuation. I have asthma and could not go outside with people out there smoking. I tried to tell her that if I go outside while they are smoking she would be calling a real emergancy in and having to get an ambulance. She didn't care. The hotel staff did though. They took care of me and let me wait at the desk. If it had been a real emergency they would have taken me out another door.

Its annoying when people don't listen to your reason.

! Not to sound like Stephanie Tanner but HOW RUDE! I completely understand, I'm highly allergic to nicotine (no hospitals but I do get sick for about a week after it* so I was just standing around in the entrance area waiting for my friends the whole time.
