Lesse...some kingdom hearts games I don't care about (except maybe the DS game), some more hype about FFXIII (but to my knowledge no other FNC games announced), some more DQ games (including small showings of the DS remakes), some more on FFIVDS....pretty much the usual fair, right?

That is until I found out about their work on Star Ocean. Aside from Star Ocean IV, they are completely remaking Star Ocean 1 and 2 for the PSP, though slightly renaming them in the process. I have to say, I am intrigued.

an infinite undiscovery sounds pretty cool too.

Too bad they showed zip about Star Ocean 4. Wanted to see something about that.

So basically, they confirmed that FF13 and all iterations of therefore are PS3 exclusive (which was a bit of a suprise, but...hey, DS gets tactics), and revealed new trailers for all the games they were working on. We should get HD versions later in the week.

Not that much to show.

No Star Ocean IV, show info on Star Ocean remakes we already knew about, slap Kingdom Hearts games on every handheld, and show the FFXIII trailer in a closed theater? Where was the news?
Final Fantasy XIII needs two new screenshots by the end of the year or I'm calling it vaporware.

Yeah, for the most part it really is same old same old. Though the SO info has me intrigued. I would love to play a remake of Star Ocean 2, hopefully with a better translation this time.

Now, people should be complaining about SE milking KH just as much as they're milking FFVII. LOL

They already are, along with milking DQ and Mana. SO is fresh to the cow farm, so it's managed to draw some interest.

im really wondering if that person from the SOIV articles are Fayt and someone else (maybe Sophia? gotta look at it again)

Edit: nope its not him and finally they let us travel in ships

The name of the game's hero is Edge Maverick. The heroine's name is Reimi; Kojima wouldn't reveal if that's just part of a full name, or if the heroine really does have just one name. These two characters are childhood friends who are now part of the same organization and have been stationed on the same ship.

Yes, ship. Star Ocean 4 will, expectedly, continue the same space theme of past entries. Players have their own ship this time around and can travel freely through the stars, landing and exploring as they like. The game will feature a large number of planets, although Kojima noted that players will be able to land their ship in places that aren't really properly formed planets.
