I need MAJOR help with the Kyo costume I'm doing for AZ2003. I've got less than a week to do it, and I'm still in need of a few things. I'm going as Akuro No Oka Kyo... to be more specific, the costume he's in when they are on the huge ruin/stairs thing. The materials I have are:

Trenchoat
White dress shirt
Black dress shirt
Boots

I still need black shorts, black fabric, and white fabric. The hair shouldn't be too much of a prob for me... I think I have about the length I should need for it, and I was reading the other thread about hair.

Oh, and if anyone has makeup tips for a Kyo costume, that would help. All I know is how to make my face look pale and make my lips and my eyelids black. I need to know how people do that teardrop thing he has, though... just draw it on with the makeup or what?

Thanks for the help!

For the makeup, Manic Panic now has an online store. They have "Goth White" face powder and cream. Either one pales the face beautifully and it isn't expensive. On the Mana thread there's a link to a site that will help with the lipstick and eyemakeup application. Finally, there is such a thing as body paint, but eyeliner will work for the teardrop. Hope this helps!

Well, I'm stuck using Halloween face-paint... heh. I'll just do what I did on Halloween, except make it Kyo style. It should work out pretty well, I guess, but if I have to use anything else, I will.

honey you can do perfectly w/ halloween face paint

if i think i know what ur talkin about. is it in a small cup like thing ? with like a oily/pasty substance inside? *Lol i make it sound so...disgusting..?* ok anyways take a makeup pad and sorta dig into it and scoop up a little and distribute it on your forhead, nose, cheeks (like foundation) then even and smooth it out as much as possible. it may not look completely WHITE. but NEVER make it look COMPLETELY white (*trust me it becomes very chunky/breaks apart and it looks horrible IRL and up front) but then after u get a layer on there, that is smoothed out, take some powder (makeup white powder, i use fragrance powder) and powder it on your face and it will acutally make that oily substance STAY and when u touch it, it wont smear ^,^ ok now comes the more careful part. be careful with what u do now because if you want to wipe that stuff off u'll might want to redo it unless u can stand with having a strange chunky look on ur eyelid >_<;; anyways lessee then u just do the makeup and i suggest using Kohl black , or charcoal black liners because those go over really well. some brands like Covergirl eyeliners dont work so well, but those 99 cents Wet and Wild works pretty good too ^,^ i also suggest face jewelry/studs (those jewel things) those work reall nice w/ kyo
ok thats what i usually do, though most ppl dont really understand what i mean >_< feel free to IM me if u see me around if u'd like my help> u can see my gallery on Cosplaylab.com under Die chan. my cosplay.com isn't really updated *guilty look*

*points* I've had to learn the hard way to NEVER make myself COMPLETELY white. *shudders at horrific memories of the first Kazuki cosplay attempt* x_X;

Die is da Kyo, man. Take her advice to heart and use it well. *grin*

And on another point, I will worship your Akuro no Oka outfit. Yes I will. Akuro no Oka is one of my favorite mellow songs. I wish you much luck and props for doing it!

The costume didn't turn out well. I had 2 days to make it, I couldn't get the hair to work so I had to use my normal hair, and I had a small, SMALL amount of makeup that wore off fast. T.T

o__o;; *pets and gives you cookies* Maybe next time it'll be betta?

I know how it is. I seem to "know how it is" a lot. XD I'm sure next time it'll be smoother, now that ya know what went wrong the first time, ne?

Practice makes experiences to learn from. o_o

I would say you need much more time to do a good cosplay. I will cosplay do the Akuro-no-oka-Kyo this summer (26.7. at the german Animagic) and I started to work on this costume two weeks ago.
