So I wanted to post up this thought for you fellow Metal Gear fans.

I think Kojima should make a remake of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake using MGS4's engine and graphics. Bring back the original voice actors and redo the game so that we can experience that time with Big Boss and Solid Snake but in a whole new level.

I think it would be cool to experience all that in a whole new level - take down Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land, take down Big Boss's Metal Gears, fight and kill Grey Fox and Big Boss himself.

Thoughts?

It's not worth their time. I would much rather see them make new games rather than remakes. ZOE3 takes priority over a MGS1 remake with MGS4 controls (which wouldn't really work that well anyway since MGS1 and 2 are purely sneaking mission type games). If they gets omeone like crystal dynamics who wants to do it out of their own pocket, fine. But I don't want to be cheated out of new games because something new an innovative came out and could be applied to older games.

MG1, not MGS1.

I'd take a Metal Gear 1 remake over ZOE3 any day of the week. Especially since it would give Kojima the chance to flesh out those games and do what he thinks he should've done when he started on MGS, and just started from scratch with the storyline.

Let's just hope Kojima and Kojima alone works on them. As big of a Nintendo fan I am, I'm still pissed off that they messed up MGS1 with the joke that was Twin Snakes.

I never played Twin Snakes but I watched my friend. I really liked all the new action shots and whatnot, but I hated the music. The music was dump. That and also they weren't able to get the original voice actors for Naomi, Meryl, Ninja Grey Fox, and Mei Ling.

I'm with Mesoian, a new Zone would be sweet, and also tight.

Kojima has hinted that he's remaking MG1+2 for the PSP actually.

I wouldn't mind it being on the PSP (or PS2 or DS), because rehauling an old idea with a new engine on a next-gen-sys would be a lot of work for a project that's already been done, and if done wrong, could either turn off old fans, new fans, or both.

what are you smoking? naomi, and meryl were the same. grey fox was rob paulson-however in the original game, the voice of fox was also the darpa chief, in twin snakes he still voiced the darpa chief, and mei ling was the same she just dropped her fake accent. which makes a hell of a lot more sense for a government official born and raised in america to have a normal english accent then a fresh off the boat one like she did in the original game.

for the fact that some of the original character voices (regardless of same actors or not) were not the exact same from classic mgs, help tarnish it a bit

..y'know, I'd normally be with Mesoian, but in this case I actually wouldn't mind seeing MG1+2 remade. Maybe not on a next-gen console but like on a PSP or something. It'd be nice to be able to experience those two stories revamped.

whatever, the only voice that flat out sucked in comparison was nastasha. everything else is seen through rose tinted glasses.

I wouldn't mind a remake, but trying to kill Big Boss in 3-d with just a arosol can and a lighter would be DAMN hard.
