Sounds like fun. Do your less-skilled friends make you play handicapped with them? My buddies keep piling on handicaps... last time I had to play left handed, with only three fingers, and hopping on one foot. :D

God knows what they'll make me do for Rock Band when I switch to the drum kit.

haha..no the only real handycap i ever got put under was playing leftyflip side with a controller instead of a guitar.and rock band handis with a drumset?ouch.i read out of a gameinformer magazine that the drums are supposed to be the hardest to play in rock band.

I did the GH3 launch tourney at my EB on Saturday...
I had won the GH2 360 launch tourney earlier this year, so everybody was like "Awww, dammit!" when I showed up, heh.

Unfortunately, and luckily for everyone else, my first round, I was edged out by 1k points at the very end of the song by star power.
I mean, I had the meter all the way to my side, I had a 474 note streak in progress, and the manager had already written my name down as a win, and the dude gets Star Power and sneaks ahead just barely. And thanks to the oversensitive activation, my SP was unavailable >.>

Ah well, the kid I beat in the finals of the GH2 tourney won, so glad he got his turn to win, heh.

The hell with star power, they should score based on percentage of notes hit.

Just a 474 note streak? What level was it, medium?

Haha, I've had my friends make me play left handed before, but never on one foot!

I can't wait for Rock Band, I'm super excited about the drums. Do you play the drums, or just want to play for Rock Band?

And I agree with the star power thing, whenever I play against my brother-in-law, the only way he beats me, is using Star Power. Grr.

Yeah, I can't wait for that wee drum kit -- I was in the drum corps way back in high school marching band, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to pickup. I'm too cheap to buy a real kit, so Rock Band will do just fine.

Plus, I just don't get to rock out much on my professional instrument, which is the oboe. XD

Haha, I would totally rock the oboe.

I played quads, tympani, and marimba in marching band, I loved it. Now I play kit, not quite the same, but it's still fun haha.

What'd you play?

Oboe Hero, with its exciting reed-making mini-game! Careful, one little slip and you could gouge your reed.... or maybe just slit your wrists... Share in the neurosis of the professional! ;D

I fooled around on quints, but since I could read sheet music, ended up mostly on the mallet instruments - marimba, xylo, bells, etc. Also all the little hand-held stuff like cowbell, shakers, etc. Best part: rarely had to march, just stood on the sidelines.

Hahaha, yeah, marching with the quads was definitely a pain. *rubs lower back* But it's all in good fun.

Oboe hero sounds like it might just outsell GH haha. I know I'd buy it.

Does GH3 stand up to GH2? Or 1? I've got two, and like the song list, but haven't really gotten to play GH3 yet. I was thinking about going out tonight and picking it up for the 360, but I've heard that a lot of people have problems with their Les Paul wireless guitar. What's the song list like on GH3?
