I'm so happy! The rumours are true! It's a Wonderful world is coming to North America! The title has changed to "The World Ends With You". I'm not sure which title I like better but let me get back on topic. The release date for Europe is sometime in Spring 2008 but I didn't find a date for a North American release. This is kinda weird because games usually release in N.A. before Europe. If anyone knows a release date for N.A. can you please leave a comment. *flutters eyes and acts cute* Pretty please?

Also...what do you guys think of the name change?

"It's a Wonderful World" just makes me think of old songs and movies. :x I think the title change will generally be a lot more appealing to Western audiences and set the theme of the game better.

Not surprised by the name change, as I'm pretty sure It's A Wonderful World as a title is contracted by another company...I know it's the name of a really old Jimmy Stewart movie, so that's probably the reason.

That being said, I'm not sure I'm a fan of titles that are actual complete sentences. How about "Rhythm Fantasy?" It's short, and describes the game well.

lol...That's true. If I hadn't heard of this game before it was released and the title was still the same...I probably wouldn't pick it up but I might because of the boxart. Yeah...I'm that type of person.

Yeah...there was a copyright issue and that's why SquareEnix changed the name.

lol...That would be a great title. It would be a plus cause then I wouldn't have to waste my breath saying the whole title.

uhhhh the name of the movie was "It's A Wonderful Life" which would mean there is no copyright problem. it sounds more like the song made famous by Louis Armstrong "What A Wonderful World", if any of you tikes know who he is. Either way, i dont believe this is actually confirmed for North America, the press release released today was only for Europe, meaning theres a chance that it wont ever reach our shores. Its happened before, the most recent example being "Freshly Picked, Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland."

There was another Jimmy Stewart movie with the "Wonderful World" title, but I can't remember the plot. You can look it up on Wikipedia, though.

its been confirmed by square enix to joystiq that yesterdays announcement was strictly for Europe and there are no plans regarding a North American announcement at this time. so you may have to wait a little longer if it does come to america at all.

...The title change doesn't mean the game will change any, though...

All I gotta say is, as soon as I started playing the damn game in Japanese, they announce it's coming out in English. Go figure!

:bigcry: I just hope square enix knows what they're doing. There are going to be a lot of unhappy fans if it doesn't come to N.A. I hope SE knows how to deal with all of them.

Thats really ironic....I hate it when that happens to me.

APRIL 22,2008 is the official marked release date for the game in the western region. Also everyone will be glad to know the graffiti style title looks almost exactly the same as it's japanese counter-part.

I'm not a Nomura fanboy but I love his game designs which is something that primarily drew me to the game (remembers kingdom hearts) also for anyone who cares an array of KH games are coming out soon(not only KH3)
