Hey everyone, sorry if this is in the wrong discussion forum. I was wondering if I could get some help with Schrodinger from Hellsing. Is it easier to make the shirt and shorts from scratch? Or could you buy them from some military store? Any help is appreciated.

Oh, also. What color are the shorts and shirt? I've seen a few different color combinations.

Hitler Youth Uniform (http://www.bytwerk.com/gpa/images/ob/ob8.jpg)...third image is typical image of what Schrodinger may wear. May I also suggest you get 'creative' for the armband on your left? I already have a plan for my friend's Schrodinger cosplay (needless to say, it's not something I plan on sharing as my brother is hard at work on it as we speak/I type!)

Thanks. Yeah I'm not too comfortable with the swastika on the armband, I'm going to probably be changing it to I don't offend and so I feel comfortable.

I bought a tan work shirt and matching tan pants and modified them both. The shirt required another pocket and the pants—well, they're shorts now, of course. I've seen green Schrodingers before, but as the original Hitler Youth uniform is tan, I stuck with that color.

Yea, the majority of Shro's stick with the entirely tan outfit, or in some cases, all green. I'd probably say the tan would be more accurate. The black shorts would be sharp tho...If you do make your own uniform, just make sure to get some nice, crisp fabric so it can be ironed to get those creases in the front and back. Otherwise you could sew darts in the shorts so you don't have to keep ironing them. You could also go to a military surplus store or a uniform store and see if they have anything that looks like it, maybe even a boy scouts uniform. My friend does Shro, and he got the leather straps off of ebay. They're cool cuz they're actually from WWII!

My Schrodinger costume is green, not tan(should it be tan or does it not matter?). You can see the shirt I made for the costume in my gallery. I didn't really follow any pattern, I pretty much made my own by tracing a T-shirt on to the fabric(minus the sleeves, those came later) then just transform it into a uniform shirt. Though I plan to re-make it cause the collar area is too loose so that on my cosplay to-do list now. As for the armband, I made it a smiley face to avoid any problems. X3 I suggest it to my friend and she was like 'Yea, you should totally do that!' so I did. :D It's not in the picture in my gallery cause I added it on later.

All and all I love cosplaying as him, and I hope you do too. :3

Until the Hellsing OVA with Schrodinger is released, the color of his uniform is in the air, so either color will work.
