Adam Sessler broke my heart when he sold out.

2007, A great year for video games and video gamers. With popular games released from Pokemon Pearl/Diamond to Halo 3. Although Christmas is over, we can still look at what to buy and what to rent, here is another Adam Sessler review (This our the opinions of me and some friends comments are welcomed but persecutions are not, thank you! These are here to help the average gamer decide what to buy.)
The following takes place from

2:30 to 4:10

Lets start with Assassins creed.
The trailers for it looked amazing, and the hype for it was outstanding as well. However, I found it a bit misleading or at least, surprisingly different.
First off you aren't really who you appear to be in the sense that your character isn't technically the blood and flesh of the character you saw on tv but a long descendant who's reliving his ancestors life with the help of a machine.
The entire point of the game really is to gain rank, and although it is called Assassins creed, at times it feels redundant that nobody notices you are the same guy. The AI can be incredibly stupid, for example: you can literally kill the guy standing next to him, and he will walk over and just say who did this. In that time period you can then assassinate him!
The missions seem to be the same throughout the game along with the story.
It can be repetitive at times but over-all the game play is great, the graphics are solid, and the voice acting and sound is dead-on. The menu for the game is also wonderful.
On the Sessler scale I give it, a 3.5/5|7/10

Halo 3-
Buy it because kids will make fun of you, but it really isn't as good as Halo 2. not much to say about Halo 3, the online is absolutely terrible compared to the previous and the waiting can also be the bitter defeat of buying this game at 60 bucks. However it does have a fairly solid game play and amazing lighting but I guess if you are into graphics more than how the game actually plays you should probably watch a movie.
On the Sessler scale I give it a 4/5|8.5/10

The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass-
This game is absolutely stunning and has a lot of neat interactive gadgets to it. It also supplies a good amount of game play along with innovation that will inspire future DS games. At least 95% of the time you are playing this game, it is with the Stylus and it never gets old! This is a definite buy if you own a DS and a good reason to own a DS.
On the Sessler scale I give it a 5/5|10/10

The Orange box-
This isn't exactly a game, but it is exactly what every true gamer or newcomer should own as it is the pinnacle of fun. It comes with the ever mind blowing game Half life 2 and Portal. Games like these make me question how can such a company exist in this world. They are both Flawless and will certainly captivate your hours. This also comes with Team Fortress 2, Half-life 2: episode 1&2 and it is something that should be owned.
On the Sessler scale I give it a 5/5| 10/10, oh Companion Cube.

While the Wii certainly looks like it is the best selling console, it certainly didn't storm the year with fantastic video games all year long. No, this battle was won by the 360 for it's variety of games. There are still many games to look forward to as 2008-2009 should be the battle of titles and Capcoms finest, games such as Street fighter 4, Resident Evil 5, and DMC4. Other anticipated games like Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, Final fantasy 13, MGS4. 2008 give it your best!
A late happy new year from 2007 and the gaming nerd

I agree with most of your comments, including the 360 having by far the best year. My only wish with Orange Box is that it had more (seriously, how hard would it have been to shove Counterstrike: Source on there and maybe have Half-Life 1: Source as a bonus unlockable?) to be the ultimate Half-Life experience, since, awesome as it is, very few gamers are hardcore Half-Life fans.

Also, its already been confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII and RE5 won't be coming out until 2009. And the lack of even a mention of Smash Bros. or Mario Galaxy in your post saddens me.

I knew I was forgetting something, sadly I didn't get a wii for Christmas. I should really double check release dates for now on. (Fixed!)

Because both were in all editions of Half-Life 2, I'm guessing (or at least every edition but the most basic).
