I am a really big hellsing fan, and I have the whole anime series so far (though there are few of them til they finish the next season), but i decided I would get the manga, since I've heard alot of really good things about it from others. The only problem is i can't seem to find it anywhere. I couldn't even find it on ebay (but i may have put in the wrong search words or something). Does anyone know where I can find the manga???? Thanx in advance.

You can get the Japanese manga from places like Amazon.co.jp (http://www.amazon.co.jp)

But Dark Horse has Licensed the manga and the english version will be out in December.

Try www.animenation.com, they have a lot manga, but I haven't checked for Hellsing in a while.

Where did you hear about a new series? I've "heard" rumors, but I have yet to read anything on an official site or anything. I'm not getting my hopes up until there is something definite and not "my friend told me."

I've seen them steadily at cons... they're more than regular manga, but God are they beautiful. *_* I want to get all of them, but for now I'm happy having a volume with Rip van Winkle and Shrodinger in it. I must be the first and best Shrodinger cosplayer! ^o^ He's adorable.

$10 a volume?! Holy crap, that's insane! The most I've ever seen a manga volume run for is $7, and even that's overcharging!

Anyway - you might want to try a local Kinokuniya, they have a small but stead Young King Ours section, and carry Hellsing regularly. I've even managed to nab some monthly issues.

Hah, Rip fans aren't going to like volume five! *laughs* I for one don't care, Nazis suck.

Yipes... I need to get vol. 5 now... aww... poor thing, such a short life. ^^;; But remember, western symbols are cool in Japan... doesn't really matter what they mean, they're just cool.

No, actually, the Millenium Group in Hellsing is not just a bunch of villains taking "western symbols" and using them as decoration. They are honest-to-God Nazis bent on taking over the world and exterminating who they see fit, except this time their army is fueled by various undead/mythical superpowers. Kouta Hirano, for all his terrible English language mistakes, is very educated on the subject. I'm very glad he doesn't seem opposed to character-death, especially with the Nazis.

"doesn't really matter.. cool" ... OK, do you know what Nazis ARE? -_- Just because they're imaginary characters doesn't mean it's OK to be a Nazi.

*suppresses the urge to rant* O.o;;; sheesh. I say one thing about how Japanese artists often incorporate Western elements (such as crucifixes, and yes, even Nazis) and get practically called a neo-nazi. Good Lord. Oh no, I have no idea what a Nazi is. Isn't that a new line of military wear? Just because I speak candidly about past events doesn't mean I support them. Just because I think Rip and Schrodinger are cool doesn't mean I'm about to form a cult movement. So what if, instead, I said I liked the Vatican group of Hellsing? I wouldn't be surprised if over the years the Popes have "exterminated" just as many people as the Nazis did... but you know what, none of the Hellsing characters are real so I don't relate them to historical events. Chill out.

*shrugs* support Nazis, imaginary or not, all you want.

What a childish response... not even worth my time to make a well-thought out reply this time because it'd be a wasted effort.

Just my 2 cents into this conversation.

Yep Hellsing has Nazi's in its storyline..It's really up to the reader what their point of view is on that. They are not portrayed in a positive light in the story of Hellsing and The Dawn(the Hellsing WW2 side story), I would be far more worried if they were portrayed positivley.

I'm not Jewish but I understand what people's views are on this subject as not everyone will be comfy with a subject from the past.

What Hellsing does bring into the light is the fact that there are still people from that era who still have the same views as they did 50-60 years ago, and in all posibilities they could launch a plan that could suceed where they originally failed (as that is what Hellsing is showing). There's always the ever present threat, nothing simply just disapears.

I know I've probably worded that wrong ^^; but thats just my view.

I'm not supporting Nazi's but I think that they ar portrayed in the series well, they are definatly not portrayed as good characters more like what the Nazis were Evil and scheming to get their own ends.

True I totally agree with you :).

Wow :) do you know the name of the booth cause I'll be on the lookout at Otakon for manga as well as other things (not hellsing though cause I already have all the volumes). But cool anyway :).
