Does anyone have Idea or pattern of any sort on how to make the hood/mask park of the straight jacket? It all seems be attached yet when it's down it's just a collar thing..

you could try making the hood like one of those fleece hoods that is separate from your coat or jacket and has a high collar, but bigger so that it's more loose. i saw a pattern at my fabric store in a "sew-easy fleece" collection or something like that. it covers your head, like a normal hood, but is also meant to cover your neck, for warmth.

when I cosplayed AkiAgi with a friend she attached Velcro to the inside of her hoodie then cut out the mask piece and attached it on like that it still folds down like the collar and its easy to put on and take off when needed :3 hope that helps.

I'd go with a hooded cowl neck pattern... It's relatively easy to sew if you know what you're doing, and it would look nice with other outfits, too.

I did it like this:

The whole mask is detachable via sew-in snaps. When attached, it looks like a cowl.
