I'm actually looking for something like this too, just to wear in the summer. I have no problem finding the pointy-topped ones, but the ones that are like a flattened bowl I can't find anywhere....

Wow sthuff are pricy on that site.

Yeah...I actually knew about that site but haven't bought anything coz it's soooo expensive. I was hoping to find something like that a bit more reasonably priced...

mmm.... yeah I suppose compared to the $10 pointed hats in Chinatown, it would be expensive... I'm guessing no one really wears them anymore, unless maybe out in the boonies of the Japan countryside, eh?

The only other thing I could think of is that since you now know what their exact name is, you might be able to find it through a search? I did a quick check among the general japanese gift shops I have bookmarked and it turned up with nothing...

my friend actually found one of the flat bowled types on a school trip to bush gardens... it was just in one of the stores. i think it costed $12-15.

I've been thinking about getting the pointy ones and spray painting them. Any ideas on this? I once saw some cosplayer completely paint his' black. Maybe I could spray the top dark red and the bottom black. Any ideas for symbols? Maybe I could have a bead hanging off one side.

I'm going for something an extra on Zeiram would wear. :D
