AGREED.

No current favorite. PS2 was really good, just because the library encompassed PS1 (sure, the same can be said about PS3, but with problems with BC, it can be questioned).

So, I'm going to disagree with the masses, only because I didn't play as much SNES as I should have, and I'm going to say N64, followed by the NES, followed by SNES.

Favorite system of all time? The DS. Remakes, ports, and awesome new, innovative new titles, I think it could arguably be the greatest system of all time.

of all time... a tie between SNES and PS1

SNES for great all around games, and PS1 for having some of the best RPGs ever made.

Honorable mention to Sega Genesis.

Currently it's the 360. All time though, it has to be PS2.

HONRABLE MENTION: PC. I played Baldur's Gate II, X-COM, Knights of the Old Republic, and a slew of awesome RTS on this 'console'. I just didn't pick it because it's not a proper game system.

I second the notion of being more about games than systems.

Shoot, I don't know...three way tie:

Original Gray Game Boy: The first system I ever had. I had over a hundred titles for it. Introduced me to gaming. The soundtracks to so many bad games still resound in my head. Have to include it.

Super Nintendo: Super Mario World. LoZ: A Link to the Past. Super Metroid. Super Castlevania. A bunch of other titles with "super" thrown in front of them. What's not to love?

Play Station 2: The ability to play all of my favorite PS1 titles was a plus. Also, I've bonded with people through this system, so it gets points for emotional value.

O'o I didn't think about that you can bound with people through a PS2 lol.

I'd have to say my lovely PS2.However,I'd love to invest in a good PS3 or 360.Sadly,mom wants to invest in a Wii.Not a lot of good graphics to please me on that system...

In short, give me a Sony system and I'm a happy camper.

The X-Box 360 is still first in my book. I've got a PS3, but there are few enjoyable games for the system, and graphically, it's obvious most of the developers still can't quite get full use out of the damn thing. Even MGS4 isn't the best looking game. The Wii... Well, the Wii is good for the Mario games, the Metroid games, Zelda:TP, and Brawl, but even Brawl gets old.

The 360's library is astounding. For RPGs, you have Mass Effect, Oblivion, Lost Odyssey, and Eternal Sonata. For shooters, COD4, GOW, Bioshock, Halo 3, Marathon, Jericho, FEAR, and more. For action, Monster Madn--Well, I don't need to list everything to make my point.

For this gen, I like the PS3 the best. It doesn't have as big of a library yet, but it's getting better all the time. I like Blu-ray movies alot and I'm counting down the days to MGS4. I really really really want FF 13, but that seems a ways off.

For all the generations combined, it's a tie between PS1 and SNES.

Of all time - Dreamcast (DC2 rumors make me feel nostalgic)

EDIT: Actually, my favorite console of all time is the Sega Genesis. I still play it every now and then.

It has to be the Xbox 360 by far. Simply playing Halo 2 making the console worth wild to me. The Play Station 3 just seems like a waste of money (No good games out at all, and so far, people are saying it is only good for movies).

I am trying to get my hands on a Wii.

My favorites are the Nintendo 64, Nintendo Game Cube, Sega Genesis (I <3 Sonic the Hedgehog :D), Playstation, Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advace, and Super Nintendo. Btw I just bought my very first Super Nintendo last week at the local San Diego Koby's swapmeet and I bought Star Fox :D.

I have a PS3, and I agree that the library is the biggest problem. It has just two good exclusive titles: Uncharted, and R&CF:ToD. MGS4 will bring that number up to three. Everything else, I can buy for the same price for the 360, and then I'll also have the added benefit of Achievements. I've played a demo of Resistance, and it disappointed me.

People are right about Blu-Rays though, they look great.

2nding. There was a lot of win with that system, if you liked fighters. Aside from that, and Skies of Arcadia/PSO, not much for me on the DC that stayed exclusive/would make me consider it being my favorite system.

Currently, I have more love for my DS/PSP more than the actually consoles, but if I have to choose one, it would be the PS2. I have the Wii60, but it's going to take a while before either of those consoles catch up.

All time- Playstation 1 and the NES. The NES pretty much established nearly all of my favorite frachises, and Mario 3 is probably one of my favorite games, if not favorite, of all time. The PS1, however kept me in gaming, and gave me some awesome Squaresoft games.

For me, it's the Sega Saturn. No other console has a top 3 combo that compares to Shining Force 3, Guardian Heroes, and Dragon Force (for my tastes). The overall library was lacking, but I only buy 10-20 games per console, not 600.

For 2nd place, it's the Dreamcast. BTW, for those saying "it's about the games, not the console," I agree. However, I get the feeling that most people here listing their favorite system(s) are listing them because of the games they've played on said console.

If I were to list a system for the system itself, it would be the PSP, because of all of the things that I can do with it.

Six. The Legend of Oasis.

(You kids and your silly internet language. I knew where it comes from, but calling something 'win' is just stupid.)
