I'm looking for functional, working goggles to use for Simon's. Either if I can make them my self or find some online. I've been searching ebay and I haven't ran across anything like such yet. If anyone can point me to tutorials or ideas, etc... that would be appreciated. I have to get my Simon cosplay done soon! I've been holding him off for too long.

Oh wow. XD Gurren Lagann's been exploding, lately.

Anyways, I personally think that real goggles would make the wig look strange. I'm trying to figure out Kamina's glasses, too... >.>

I was thinking of making it out of a sturdy felt and placing the orange film on the inside. It would be light against the wig and keeo the hair from ruffling so much.

Still, if you really want the goggles to look right, get a pair of motorcycle goggles with orange lenses, Bikebandits.com, or something around those lines, is where I found quite a few different pairs. You could paint the outside red, & there you go.

I got my Matt goggles from there, and the orange I got were a little farther on the brown/dark orange-side. That's good for Matt, but with TTGL's style, I'm not sure if that's what you want.. Still, that was only one pair..

I'm not too sure. ^^;; I think you'll be painting them any way you look at it. I had to sharpie my goggles silver.

I made my pair with craftfoam and some yellow plastic for the lenses. Works pretty well and they're extremely easy to make

Thanks! I'll have to look in Joanns the next time I go. What did you do with the elastic though? Did you attach actual elastic to it?
