Well, here it is, folks. The most anticipated, beloved, and controversial game of this generation. It's getting 10s all over the place, and everything points to this being maybe the greatest videogame ever made.

I'm picking my special edition up on Monday night.
Hooray for art books!

Getting mine on Monday night. Can't wait. Too bad all these games are coming right before finals week - MGO beta, GTA4, and Mario Kart.

I'll get it. Eventually.

GTA games tend to get rather boring after a while.

But it's .1 better than Jade Empire!

Jade Empire was short. Which is good, because if it was any longer, I'd have thrown it out the window.

I dunno, I still haven't beaten San Andres and I don't feel any need to go back to it.

BioWare's a real hit and miss company, but I thought Jade Empire was one of their hits.

I stopped playing GTA after Vice City, and probably won't start again.

I'm tempted to get it, but for all the bad reasons- aka, hype. It'll probably be great, it'll probably do a lot, just to show up itself, but I don't thinK i can justify a game purchase (the same time period of P3Fes, The World Ends With You, and Mario Kart Wii) just because of hype. That, and like I said elsewhere, I'm not big on GTA. I think I'll rent it, just to give it a shot, and buy it in a year when it's hopefully dropped massively in price.

10 at Gamespot, Game Informer, EGM, 1up, 9.8 at Gametrailers.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure OOT's run at #1 is about to come to an end.

I don't like 1up. They're biased and snobby and not funny, and if you go on their forums and criticize the smallest thing, they chew you out and ban you. They also hosted a terrible web-comic for a short while.

I've seen some of the videos of the game, something I'd not thought of more than a half-second until now, and the graphics and physics are somewhat impressive, but, even after GTAIII and its sequels, the game apparently still suffers from large portions of city blinking in and out of existence.

Protip: don't listen to big name review sites, IMHO, they don't know shit about games.

Not saying GTA 4 sucks, I'm really looking foward to playing it.

The soundtrack alone has made me into one happy fangirl.

I think I'll go to bed now.

Well... I won't call it the best game ever. There are too many games out there for any one to truly deserve that title. I will, though, say that it is a pretty darn great game and that I'm having a ton of fun with it.

I was somewhat surprised at the relatively small amount of people that came to pick up the game today at my store. I guess that everyone that really wanted it got it last night, but I only sold about 25 before my shift was over. I did find it a little funny when a mom bout her child a copy and said "there can you breath now?"

I'm not much of a GTA fan. I liked 3, and Vice City but San Andres was just a real turn off for me. I may pick it up in a year or two but I'm not holding my breath or anything.

YES! I'm not the only who thought San Andres was too ghetto aka pure suckage!...

GTA4 seems to be a big improvement. Yet some of the controls need some work... maybe I'm just too used in the Gears of War cover system/controls...

I can't believe GameSpot gave this game a perfect 10... -.-...

I'm not usually a big fan of GTA games (San Andreas got boring too quick for me, but there's nothing in that game for me to relate to. I'm from the east coast, and I have no gang experience?), but I decided to pick up GTA4 on a whim.

The controls are definitely a change, but I am loving it so far. The native New Yorker in me is simply enjoying the cityscape and the general attitude of the peds. It's awesome to see random landmarks, especially little places and "neighborhoods" that I'm so familiar with. It's kind of a trip how gorgeous it looks, really.

And Nico reminds me of a lot of people I know. Which.. well... is probably not so good.

I guess I'll see how I feel once I get a few more missions in, but so long as the scenery tickles my fancy, I'll be into it.

The game is amazing...absolutely amazing. Deserves every perfect rating it received. I can honestly say I don't have a single complaint with it up to this point.

It's quite the amazing game. I can't believe how much stuff they could put in it.

I picked it up this afternoon. It's actually pretty good. The storytellings never been better and, while most are fairly mundane, the missions make sense with what's going on in the plot.

I'm really enjoying myself so f-FUCKINGMOTORCYCLESTHISSUCKSASS!!!!!

Bikes suck again. ::huff::

I too hate San Andreas was total utter garbage.

Again, don't ever trust big name review sites. If it got advertised and hyped up, it gets a uber score.

Ok, really stupid question, since i do not have the book. I only rented it how do you get the multiplayer to work? I can not really find it. Thanks in advance I may have just missed it but i thought i would ask.

It's an option on your cell phone (press up on the D-Pad). There will be a multi player option.

at first i wasn't as excited about gta 4 because of how san andreas was so overblown but gta 4 has really impressed me so far. Visuals are definitely impressive and the city seems like its gonna be larger than ever. I'd rather have one massive city than crappy country roads. Driving took some time to get used too. But i started to adapt quick, lolz. I wouldn't give the game a perfect 10 since there are some issues with it like the lag, but otherwise i give it an 9.5. :)
