I need advice on how to make his coat. I'm using a similar pattern for his coat, but I'm not sure how to make those thick and deep lines he has under his arms that go from his chest all the way to the back. I can pretty much figure out everything else, but a little help on those lines will be great, anyone have tips or advice?
Here is a good angle of those lines:

There is already a DMC thread active:
theres most likely a better way of doing this, but here goes;
sew 6-8 pintucks in a piece of the cloth, about 22ins x 4 ins. use a piece of cloth bigger than you need, as its easier to hold onto while sewing the pintucks. after the pintucks are sewn, trim down each outermost side, leaving about a quarter inch allowance either side. the cloth will then fold over naturally on the outer pintuck on either side, leaving a neat edge. sew a strip of elastic on the inside, down one side, stretching it slightly and using a stretch stitch. it will make the pintucked strip of cloth curve slightly in the shape you want. it can then be sewn onto the coat. an elastic stitch seems to work best for this stage. some pics of the curved underarm things are in my gallery.
