View Full Version : FF9 Eiko's Horn...

I was wondering how to attach Eiko's horn to the head if there was no wig involved... Does anyone have any idea? I can't really do it with a headband because there's already 1 for the big bow on her head, and if I add another headband, it'll look just weird o_O I made the horn out of sculpey... so if anybody can give me suggestions/ideas, it'd be much appreciated ^_^

well maybe stick it on there with model glue or o_O
or actually how about putting two holes in the horn at the bottom and lacing it with fishing string...and make an invisable thing hair piece and just hiding it with the hair? just a suggestion. : /

Considering the size of the horn, unless you make it out of something unbelievably heavy, you should be able to attach it with spirit gum. [While the horn is surrounded by hair, it has to be growing out of skin considering the design sketches and how high they drew her forehead. The bangs simply fall around it...] Spirit gum can be found at any theatrical or costume supply store/website. Good luck.

Depending on how heavy the horn is, you *might* be able to just use double sided tape.

From my findings (I have the costume for myself as well), sculpey for the horn is FAR too heavy for even spirit gum.
What I recommend is you use Model Magic. Its by Crayola and its uber-lightweight modeling compound that dries overnight. Spirit gum will hold that sucker on all day long. Also, its so light, double-sided tape should work, too (but I recommend you get the theatrical kind, because the sticky they use is harder to dissolve via sweat.)
