I'll be seeing Spirited Away this weekend down at the Ritz on 2nd street.

My friend and I are thinking of seeing it Friday and maybe Saturday too.

Anybody seeing it? Or feel like babysitting for Cassandra so she and her husband can see it with us? hehe.

lol...nah, we're out for now...maybe I'll luck out and they'll bring it to our area theater when they open up more in October.

Eyargh... I would love to see it, but I'm working both nights..
(at, whaddya know, a movie theater. And no, there's no chance in hell that we'd actually get an anime movie. -_- The Ritz always gets the anime, while, oh no! If it's not mainstream, Regal can't get it!... stuck up bitches... if I move up far enough at that theater, I'll make a point to get anime movies in here.)

Well, nausicaa.net originally had the King of Prussia move theater playing it (and I can get a babysitter for a few hours to run over, see the movie and run back real quick).....but they LIED....those LIARS!!! And it's not showing there :(

That was meant to sound hopeful by the way ;)

The only anime movies we ever got were Pokemon 1-3... heck, we didn't even get Digimon, and that was mainstream O.o

I really want to see Spirited Away. I want to see it more that wanted to see the Escaflowne movie (good movie).
I've been bugging my mom for a couple of days now. I even printed out an ad for it with the theatre location and wrote "Must see!" all over it in red pen (Its now hanging in the kitchen in plan view :D ).
The two problems are that there are two theatres showing it in Seattle (the closest place) and thats a two hour drive :( . Plus, I'm broke.

I missed the chance to see Princess Mononoke in theatres and I'm not going to miss this!

Ahh! I luuuuuuuv that movie so much! Anyone who has the chance to see it should go! *pouts* I live in the middle of nowhere, so it's not coming to theaters around here... But I already bought it (while in Tokyo), so I guess that I'll survive. Everyone go see it!

My friend and I just saw Spirited Away at the Kabuki in San Francisco and to our great pleasure and surprise it was subtitled! I think I heard a chorus of cheers in the audience from a few other folks besides us :D

There were a couple of young kids sitting behind us and throughout the movie I could hear them squirm and whimper to mum and pa that they were bored. I reckon this is due the movie being subbed, because it's an excellent and highly entertaining film. 3 snaps up!

Is Spirited Away subbed in the other cities it is now playing at?

Anyway, if you live in the Bay Area and want to see the movie unsullied by krunky dubbing, go to this current engagement! I don't know if the Kabuki will switch to the dubbed version later on or not.

I'm going to see it at the 42nd street Loews this afternoon! Right after Chinatown, I love NYC trips!

It was subbed where a I saw it and people who bought tickets and found out later that it was subbed actually asked for their money back. An there were kids there too looking bored can't blame their short attention span though.

I saw it on Friday at the 42nd Loews... it was subbed, and the audience were AWESOME!

Yeah, if I had to point out one flaw with Spirited Away, it might have been a bit long, especially from kids.

But, even though it was really long, like every single part of it was awesome. I don't know what could have been cut!

Wow~ what a great movie! It didn't seem long, but it really wasn't a kid's movie. The dub was actually good, Daveigh Chase did very well as Sen / Chihiro. There was a kid in the audience who got scared.

NYO! Cosplay saw the 1:45PM showing.

I t was really good. We missed the first 10 minutes, but we figured it out what had happened. If you like Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away is right up your alley. :)

Sorry that this review is weak, don't wanna spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet. :D
