View Full Version : Texturing on a Silent Hill Nurse costume

So... I'm working on a costume for a party I'm having and I'm being a nurse from Silent Hill (namely the movie version because they are just like a billion times freakier).

I really wanna get that gross creepy texturing on the dress, but I'm not sure how to do it. I just made the dress out of this sorta twill fabric, haven't dyed it yet. I'm assuming the texturing would come after dying. I have some laytex which I mainly plan on using for the mask, but I was thinking I could brush some on over the dress as well, making it "fleshy."

Anybody have any suggestions? Am I going the right direction?

You might try looking in this thread. (http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=37811&page=68) There is quite a few pages, but you will probably be able to find a few different ways to do it there.
