This Halloween my friend is having a comic book themed couples party. One of the couple has to go as a character from DC comics, and the other has to go as a character from Marvel comics. After a little bit of discussion, it was decided that I would do as a character from Marvel. So I was hoping that possibly someone could offer up some suggestions.

Anyway, my problem is that I would like to go as a less obvious character - I love Rogue, but I'm pretty sure she's going to be a fairly common choice. My other consideration is, this is going to be the second costume that I'm going to have to put together for this Halloween season, so I don't have a lot of time and resources at my disposal (sigh).

Some information about me:
Hair: short (chin length) and dark brown.
Eyes: blue
Height: 5'4"

Let me know if there's any other helpful information I can offer.

And as always ANY thoughts or suggestions at all would be so very, very appreciated! Thank you!

Wasp would be adorable! I love her, and she has about 5 different costumes to choose from. But if you don't have time to make/find the wings...

Black Widow would be fairly easy...though she's a redhead.

Scarlet Witch actually does have brunette hair occasionally, so if you curled your hair you could do a short haired version of her...

Jubilee from X-Men usually has short hair, and she's also pretty tiny.

That's all I can think of at the moment (more a DC girl myself, actually...).

Surge....but you'd have to make your hair blue XDDD

But yeah. I second Wasp.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I was a little surprised at all the Wasp suggestions, so I feel almost bad saying I don't think that I can do the wings, just because the party is probably going to be held at a bar, and that just seems to me to be inviting trouble. Heh. As of now I think I'm considering Scarlet Witch as my top choice.

I did however forget to mention that I just recently bought a shoulder length (or slightly longer, really) medium brown wig for my other costume, and I could probably pretty easily use it for this costume as well. I'm not sure if this new information will generate any more suggestions, but hey, I thought I'd add it anyway.

And thank you all again!

well, you could always jsut get those little kids ones, plus wasp so doesn't get enough love!
Wanda is cute, but big red boots and the pink body suit seem like they'd be a little tough? I dunno.
lol
as for the surge suggestion, I would totally second that but her gauntlets would be kinda tough to make,so maybe wrap your hands in bandages? I've seen her do that.
Ha, you could always be the new head honcho of S.H.I.E.L.D. I forgot her name...

If you get kiddy wings (or make wings for it) you can always chop off the shoulder holster part and have the wings lie flat against your back like they do for Wasp when she isn't flying.

The pink bodysuit Scarlet is kinda difficult, but she does have some costumes with variations...here's a link with a bunch of different costumes (some are really bad angles, but it gives you an idea): Costume Variations! (http://www.uncannyxmen.net/db/spotlight/showquestion.asp?faq=10&fldAuto=90&page=11)

As long as you got the cape, the headpiece and some form of red bodysuit, or red skirt and top combination, with the curly hair, it's usually recognizable as Scarlet Witch (and chances are your outfit has been some variation at some point).

Storm is a good one from the X-men. If you need the costume check out:

These people have worked VERY well with me in the past and their costume are NOT cheaply made like alot of them. If you don't like storm, but have someone else in mind, just send them a picture and they may be able to do it! They have made a costume for me before that wasn't on their site, so ya never know! I highly recomment these people though!
