Hey everyone..I'm new around here.

I've never cosplayed yet, but I'm planning some costumes for the 2003 conventions.

Well I hope to meet some new people here, strike up a conversation, and learn more about cosplaying.
Good to meet you all!

Welcome to the world of cosplay at your fingertips...umm..maybe not at your fingertips...maybe not even a world...but it's a good place for cosplayers..hehe...

Please..tell us about your cosplay intentions....at least...if you wish to...

One Idea I've been workin on lately is a Kenshin Costume. Either the TV series or the OVA costume.
I know Kenshin is one of those "over-used" cosplay costumes, but it's a costume I've always wanted to put together. It just looks so comfortable. I don't plan on entering any contests with it, I just want something to walk around the conventions in.

I have all the necessary items for the Kenshin costume except the Pink / Dark Blue Top piece. I'll go either as Kenshin from the TV series or the OVA's. If anyone has any ideas where I can acquire that piece for the costume, please let me know. I don't have the ability or skill to make the whole piece myself, but if I can find something already made, it is possible for me to edit it to fit the costume.

Another costume almost finished is Wolfwood. Another "over-used" costume. I've actually had most of the parts of the costume for a while now, but never thought of cosplaying, or had the ability to go to anime cons for that matter. The cross i'm currently working on, made fully out of wood, and elastic type straps over the white cloth. The straps can detach all at once, and the cloth falls off the cross. I need to still paint the wood, and cut the gun holes.

Thats about it for now. I have other costume ideas, but i'll leave them for another day. I wish I had more time to work on other costumes and go to more conventions, but work takes most of my life right now. ::sigh::

cheapest way ish to make the kenshin top piece yourself. You can always go to your older family or relatives for help... If you don't mind spending the money, then go to a tailor.... there's alwayz ebay but I doubt they would have something similar....

As for work... I dun have work... actually, school is interfering with my parttime job, therefore I have no job...

Yea, after a crapload of online searching, I'm guessing this is the way to go. Now to find the material and bug the parents for help..

I just noticed that there's alot of people here from NYC. It's good to see alot of anime fans around the area, and hope to meet some new people. To be more specific than just queens NY, i'm from a small area called Middle Village. Just about everyone knows the surrounding areas that border Middle Village, but hardly anyone actually knows where MV is!. The closest known place near here is Christ the King H.S., and Queens Center Mall is about a 10 min. walk.
If you wanted to chat or something, i'm almost always on AIM, ICQ, yahoo, at the same time (thanks to trillian). When i'm by the computer, i'd be glad to chat.
