I'm hoping to go to A-Kon this year as Albert Wesker from Resident Evil 5, however, I'm at a bit of a standstill whenever it comes to finding what I need. Right now, I need about everything.

Items needed ( Stores would be pretty helpful, too. ^^ ):

-Slick sunglasses
-The belt
-Patterned Trenchcoat
-Patterned zip-up shirt/pants
-Black leather gloves
-Zip-up boots
-Any good sunglasses store
-A good hair coloring product
-Wesker's custom Samurai Edge pistol (Airsoft, of course.)
-Places to purchase colored contacts

Also, any advice for getting the voice down would be helpful!

I too want to cosplay RE5 Wesker, hopefully for comic con in july, and would appreciate any help as well.

PROTIP1: You're not going to be able to buy all of the items. The 'patterned' items will almost definitely need to be made.

PROTIP2: The patterning on the items is that of wide-weave Carbon Fiber fabric. I do not recommend using actual carbon fiber, as it's both expensive and probably pretty uncomfortable. It also retains heat, so you'd be boiling in your own stew.
However I wouldn't put it past Wesker himself to actually be wearing carbon-fiber clothing. It does have some bullet resistance after all.
CarbonFiber-print pleathers do exist, however I've yet to find one mimicking the wide weave Wesker's outfit requires.

Happy hunting.

Thanks. That actually took me somewhere. do you know any places (Store-wise), that sell carbon-fiber fabric?

Also, I have little experience with making my own costume, but if this would be my first time, so be it. Any tips you could throw my way?

No clue about physical stores, but I found a couple online sources...
Actual carbon fiber fabric with the right weave for Wesker: http://compositeenvisions.com/raw-fabric-cloth-2/carbon-fiber-97/carbon-fiber-fabric-plain-weave-50-3k-5-7oz-375.html
Pretty damn expensive. And again, not meant for garment use, it's more an industrial fabric.

Pleather/vinyl with carbon-fiber embossing: http://trimstore.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TS&Product_Code=FL1&Category_Code=CFV
Though it's automotive vinyl, used for seatcovers, might be a bit stiff for garment use.

An option could be embossing your own pattern into garment-grade pleather, but I imagine that taking forever, heh.

As for a coat pattern, I think you could base it off of one of those Matrix coat patterns... That's about all I can advise there, I never use patterns myself.

The Wesker figure in the Gallery Viewer gives you a good look at the coat, so you can look at that and decide what you want to base it off of.

The easiest thing to do is find the Samurai Edge online somewhere...if you beat me to it. They are very rare to find for sale (found one last night though). If you get one you can customize it and put the LAM on it, but I wouldn't modify it at all. (I would paint it to get rid of the orange tip outside of cosplay though.) Plus You'd have to conceal it if you don't glue the trigger or anything....(con staff would probably rip you apart if they saw that thing functioning....I hear it has blowback, recoil, AND sounds like a real Beretta going off.)

I actually have been using the figure for reference. Luckily for me, though, the guide has some good pictures, as well.

Otherwise, I've searched all around for an airsoft Samurai Edge, much to no avail. I may just have to purchase an M92F airsoft gun, and paint it, myself.

The Samurai Edge usually goes for 190+. Try eBay man.

I'm not sure about today, but when I searched yesterday, they had one going for $175. Unless I can find a cheaper one (Which I honestly doubt I can), that's probably my best bet.

That's the one I've been looking at. That's pretty cheap for the Samurai Edge. It IS a Tokyo Marui product, including very very very rare. Kind of like the Resident Evil apparel Capcom used to sell in Japan (replcias of the STARS vests and RPD apparel)

Dude, get it for $175 if you can. That's a good price for it.
I still want the Ebony and Ivory ones, but that's never going to happen.

Samurai Edge is cooler anyway.

Yeah. I know. Regardless, money isn't a commodity, these days. I have to save as much as I can. So, I'm probably going to have to get a cheap M92F airsoft gun, and paint/mod it to my liking. I'd have to do it with Tokyo Mauri's Samurai Edge, anyway.

All you would have to do with the TM one is add the LAM. I think I may get one with my next paycheck or after I get my car.

Concept art for RE5 Wesker, from rehorror.
Kinda shows that carbon fiber material isnt EXACTLY necessary, due to its pricey-ness. =/

You can purchase samuri edges at walmart - the 240 airsoft pistols are almost identical. its just up to you to purchase the paint - flat black, silver, some wood color. My first cosplay is S.T.A.R.S. Wesker, i use a 240....and have been paint regular samuri edges for other people that i got to form the stars group.

As for the midnight wesker, i got it priced at almost a grand done in carbon fiber. I will be getting it ordered eventrully...

For anyone interested, I finally came across some Wesker fabric Joann's is carrying. Not sure if all the stores are....which I doubt, but definitely the ones that have a big upholstery section should have it.

Check it out, not too shiny, not flat either, it's raised.
