Have the whole series for about 8 months =P I adore CLAMP ^^ The variety in Chii's outfits are amazing! I'd recommend reading the manga cause they did change/add quite a few things in the anime and plus, I always find it helpful to read the original source of an anime =D

The first 3 mangas were good b/c Chii was so cute!! But then...it started to get a little boring...maybe because Chii got smarter and was more of an introvert. I just read 4 volumes..not sure if I should get the 5th..o_o

I got the first vol for christmas, and I fell inlove with it the first time through. Then it took me a while to get my hands on the next volume and now I've reached vol.6... can't seem to find the next ones. Must be the slow store. ^^;;

Good thing about Chii is that there are soooo many costumes and outfits to choose from, both from manga and the artbook. :) So there's always a Chii outfit left to do. ;) I wonder if someone will ever cosplay ALL of her outfits. XD

I have up to number 5 and will probably get 6 really soon. I've seen the anime and I don't like the slow pace it goes. I was exposed to the manga first and I know the manga came first so I hate it when they change things in Anime. I perfer Manga over anime. ^_^

Yeah it was because of Cosplayers that I got interested in Chobits. My friend heard that i was reading Vol. 1-2 and she got me the entire anime for my birthday! yayness!

Anyway I am up to vol.7 and episode 23 so far. I absolutely adore Chii. While I am waiting for Vol.8 I am reading Angelic Layer... I suppose was the precursor to Chobits. Has anyone read Angelic Layer? I am up to Vol.2 and getting addicted to it as well.... not as much as Chobits though.

I have been reading Chobits, and I love it! Now the series, I was like eh, whatever, but for some reason I like the Manga so much more!

Chobits was very well planned out, and decently designed. CLAMP hit the nail on the head with this one!

IMO. The Manga is SO much better than the Anime in this case, that it is just not funny. For all the overhype Chobits has gotten, the Manga has a very serious storyline that is executed very well, and character development is taken very seriously in this Manga. Even if it feels like the storyline is stagnating, it really isn't, because CLAMP wants you to make sure that you understand the world, and the siuations each of the characters are in. I've read up to Volume 4, and I've gotten more enjoyment out of the Manga then I could ever with the Anime. I know this is going to sound elitest, but if you want to know what CHOBITS is really about. You're going to have to read the Manga. The Anime is not a viable alternative.

Yeah I agree with Studmaster. To me the manga has been serious from the beginning. But I like to read such things. There is the initial innocense that lures you in but then you understand that it's far more than that. Clamp always seems to have serious under tones. I like how they can make you question how you would feel/react to said things..all while being able to make you smile. The manga is far better.
