And yes, aftereffect is one word.

So, Post your thoughts on how this year's Anime Detour was, who you were (So you can get your pictures), etc.

I'm having a hangover.

I cosplayed as Jolteon, and was partnered with a matching Vaporeon =D

I wasn't as big of a fan of Detour this year. The hotel staff was mean to us and I wasn't all that happy about the elevator status XD The layout was kinda funky, too. It was almost too big...compared to my comfy, home-like, little, past Detours.

But I did like how much more room for the Dealer's Room there was...and how much more room for the dance there was, too (although I didn't stay more than 5 minutes).

I was Yin from Darker Than Black on Friday, Rhyme from The World Ends With You on Saturday, and Yachiru from Bleach on Sunday.

I have a picture of you an vaporeon xKatsu. It's kind of blurry (my camera was on the frtiz because I dropped it), but if you still want it tell me and I'll pm you a link.

I agree about the layout and the staff. I was also disappointed in the panels this year; anything that sounded interesting (and there were few) was early in the morning and late at night, so I couldn't make it because I had to commute. But that might have just been me.

That's okay, thanks =D We went absolutely nuts taking pictures Saturday x_x

I agree about the panels! The only one that we actually got to was the Disney Princess one, and there was another really great one at the same time, so we didn't get to go to that! D: So, yeah, I was also disappointed in the lack of must-see panels.

I was Altair from Assassin's Creed on Friday, L from Death Note and FFVII Aeris on Saturday (and then an EGL that night), and KH Aeris on Sunday.

I did have a lot of fun, though the elevators sucked. We had to wait so long to use them, and I would've just used the stairs if it hadn't been sixteen floors on uncomfortable shoes, not to mention I'm lazy. :-P Also, parking? Ugh, we had to park in a lot two blocks away and had to pay every twelve hours - which meant waking up in the middle of the night to put more money in. I hope the next hotel has its own FREE parking. Plus, I don't know, it felt crowded? I found myself missing the Thunderbird, which I complained about heartily at the time.

Complaining aside, though, I had a great time. Some awesome cosplayers there.

I was the furry there, I think I hugged everybody there XD

I had a lot of fun, it was my first convention. and i'll definitely be going again next year, but i'm thinking of buying a table and selling paws and tails and stuff. I was extremely happy to see the joker, and hugged him like 6 times XD no exaggeration he prolly got really sick of me XD

To note on the Hotel. Anime Detour is moving to the Sheraton in Bloomington for a 3 year stay (was at closing Ceremony when it was announced). It's a larger spot with more hotel rooms, room party space, Bigger Pool courtyard, more panel rooms (more panels to see), and the best part of all FREE PARKING!!!!!

Ok off the hotel stint.
I was Aizen Sosuke all 3 days. I mixed in LT and Capt for saturday and a bit of Sunday. The hotel was nice but the Stairs and Elevators were the issue. I also found it odd that alot of the good panels were either in the morning or later on at night.

The Hotel staff went neg when someone knocked a hole in one of the walls and when the elevators kept breaking down.

i had alot of fun the con staff didnt but me too much but i know alot of people were irritated with them yet again this year. next time get there names. as soemone pointed out to me they cant do anythign to change the persons attitude and whatnot without knowing which staffer it is.
but i did have alot of fun loved the size of the dealers room. the weather wasnt too bad. had lots of fun with my yu yu hakusho group. and i took tons of pics.
the consuit was a lil cramped but even in a bigger room it'll get cramped. and for some reasion every pannel or anime that i wanted to go to was at 7pm on friday. idk ive heard alot of people complain abotu the scheduling how everything good seemed to be at the same time.
cant wait for next year

I have to agree with the panels and the parking! It was about $50 that we had to pay for parking by the middle of Sunday. I like the past detours better, so I can't wait till next year since it's at the Sheratan.
@ kawaiixteddy could you upload the ones with Goofy ^^
