Hi all,

I new to the forums. I just wanted to know if there are any plus-size crossplayers. I have yet to try it, but I am a apprehensive because of my size. What does everyone think about that? Should I still do it? Or save face and try to lose weight first?

i say go for it regardless of weight or ethinicity or any such thing. being cosplay isnt about looking liek th char exactly or being perfectionist (some are that way but still..) cosplay is for the sole purpose of being fun ^^

Hey, welcome to the forums. Actually I'm plus sized and it isn't gonna stop me. Hehheh Menchi knows so...I'm just having a hard time about who to crossplay as..... And I agree with the thing of cosplay being for fun!!

I don't know if I'm concidered "plus size," but I'm not skinny. I crossplay, and if you see some of the characters I've crossplayed (look at my costumes) you'll be surprised how well I'm able to pull them off. XD

Bah, crossplay all you want. My friend is overweight and she made the cutest Kyou from Fruits Basket. ^.^

In my personal opinion, I think that the guys who do the best cross-plays are the ones with a little extra flesh on their bodies. Thin, and the bones show off. Also, it's easier to make cleavage off of a non-thin guy.

Heavy girls do have to worry about their breasts a lot of time, but they still can be hidden.

I really am adamant about people always doing what they want to do. I hope that you go for it. ^_^ One of the best Asuka cosplayers that I've ever seen (wasn't a crossplayer) was a bit overweight, but she looked so cute in the school uniform costume and was so very enthusiastic. You definately have my encouragement.

I don't see why plus-size people can't crossplay.
After all, plus sized people cosplay.

I DO believe that most of the time a full-figured man would have an easier time crossplaying. Mainly because it would be easier to achieve 'softer' features.

I am sooooo not skinny (you'll see what I mean if you look at my pics  ) but i still cosplay and crossplay! Go for it Asuka!! And if people give you a hard time about it, give me their names, adresses, phone #'s, etc., and I'll have a little "chat" with them later....... *pulls out numerous torturing devices* heh heh heh
