I am currently making an exact replica of Alucard's costume for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. However I am unable to find the specific chain clasp for his cape nor his special buckles that hook his vest together in the front. Also, a wig matching his specific hair color is pretty hard to find as well.
I would appreciate any information you guys can give me.
:)
I've attached a picture for everyone to see as to what I am looking for.

go to www.witchwigs.com for wigs. or ask someone that does custom wigs. just not katie, she's booked.

For the wig try www.witchwigs.com

For the chain and clasp you could make the part where its on the coat out of clay and then leave a hole for the chain which you should be able to get at a hardwear store like Lowes or Home depo.

For the buckles I say find something that hooks the vest together and just make something almost like a cover (out of clay) over them that looks more like the thing you want. You can also paint it silver to make it look even more realistic.

I hope this helps.

This is probably after the fact, but I would suggest amphigory.com for the wig. I'm not a big fan of witchwigs.com, but that's just me. ^^

And I wish you luck!

Amphigory gives you the same wig. They're both 40" synthetic Eleora brand. If you can however get ahold of a Mona Lisa wig. Those are nice.

Whoooaaa. That is SUCH a beautiful costume. (Boy, if ever I were tempted to do a crossplay...)

Anyway, for the front clasps, I'd go with the sculpey/clay idea. (You can etch a design into them with a pencil before you bake them.) For the flat buckles, why not try silver friendly plastic? (All you'd have to do is cut it to size. I think most craft and fabric stores still sell strips of the stuff.)

For the wig, you might wanna try ebay. (You'll probably have to wade through dozens of auctions to find just the exact color you want, but there's a good chance you'll find it. Try searching under PLATINUM BLONDE.)

Good luck!

>>Amphigory gives you the same wig.

I'm just more satisfied with amphigory's service, that's all.

It is.
I'd do it, too, but I'd make a BAD Alucard.
I'd make a better Juste.

>>For the wig, you might wanna try ebay.

eBay works well for wigs sometimes and SHITTY other times.
It only seems to have the right stuff at the wrong times, wig-wise.
Just my opinion, it may work for someone else.
...of course, I'm usually looking for something that's not BLONDE, so that idea may work very well for an Alucard costume....

Wooo Alucard, when you finish the costume, post pics! Try to find a fairy familiar to follow you around and show you secret openings!
