View Full Version : Jill from RE5

I'm looking to make the cloaked costume of Jill from RE5 to go to PAX (why no love for the plague costume, guys? D:); what I'm focusing on right now are the boots (which you can partially see through the opening of the cloak) and the mask. I looked through the tutorial list, and it seems like I could use part of the Hollow Mask tutorial (start with a papier mache base then use claypaper on that, then... acyrlic paint to get it black) but I'm stuck on how to get the glowing red eyes (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/residentevil/images/1/19/Cloaked_Woman.jpg)... ideas? (Someone mentioned maybe using LED lights, but I also need to make sure I can see when I'm walking around.)

Meanwhile, I'm also not sure what to do about the boots... I could probably leave them the way they are right now (they're just a generic black) but I'd like to try and get as close to the actual outfit as possible; I was thinking of trying my luck with either:

1. boot covers, or
2. actually painting (spray or acrylic) over the material (pretty sure they're synthetic, but let me double check).

Any suggestions would be helpful since this is my first time dressing up (but it looked so fun I just had to try) :)

I have no idea how to get the glowing red eyes for the mask and would using spraypaint on synthetic boots work or just crack?
