Hello all, I was wondering if there were any molds I could use to cast resin gems that were larger than most of the ones seen on the web.

I'm doing some Pokemon Gijinka with my GF, Dialga for myself and Palkia for her. But we need to create some fairly large gems to place in our shields and in my chest.

Large enough so that I can drill a hole into them and place an LED light, any ideas on where I could find such molds?

This is the Gijinka I'm doing, plus a few additions to the outfit. But the piece in the chest is about the size I plan on using for all the gems.

It can be a bit smaller but only a few inches or so.

This may not be the answer you're looking for, but once you get past the 1-2 inch mark in size it's heaps easier to make a mold yourself. It opens up a lot of possibilities.
http://www.shop.brickintheyard.com/main.sc <- This website has about every possible kind of silicone and resin you can think of.
Hope this helps.

unfortunately you will probably have to make the mold your self. Have you worked with RTV silicone before?

I made a mold for this gem, it's about 2.75 inches wide:

it's hard to tell in this pic but it is faceted.
