Hi, I'm trying to get color contacts for my Grell (Kuroshitsuji) cosplay, and I was going to order them from cosplaylab.com, but it says their contacts are 8.6 base curve and 14.0mm diameter. My normal contacts are 8.6 base curve and 14.2mm diameter.
I was wondering if the .2 difference in mm is a big deal or not, and if I could still wear these lenses comfortably? Did anyone else have the same problem?

I think a 0.2mm difference is still okay, as far as I've read on the subject anyway.
The contacts will fit smaller than you're used to, though, and might be a little uncomfortable because of that. I'm no expert, but if you're only going to be wear them for a day or two (ie: just for your costume and not all the time), you should be all right.

Huh~ Coolio! Thanks for the info. I'm really only planning to wear this pair for a couple days so hopefully your right. ^_^

You should be ok with the slight size difference. It's the base curve that really matters.

If you look at other theatrical lenses, like scleras, you'll notice that the diameter of those is much higher than normal lenses.

Cosplaylab.com's lenses are a bit wider to help make your eyes seem larger and more "anime-like". I know somewhere they have a clear lense with a faded, dark ring around it. It's pretty much a "universal iris" lense that will make your iris seem larger no matter what color it is.
