View Full Version : What can you use from Wal-Mart/Home Depot/Lowes/Sutherlands to make costume armor?

I want to make armor that wont get easily damaged and is solid. I was thinking pvc pipe, but i dont know what else to use that would be good materials. Help plz.

PVC is good for certain kinds of armor, such as rounded shapes and SOME kinds of pauldrons.
Otherwise, if the armor is more flat, (think like a samurai's), then using the sheets of flat insulation foam is a good choice. That needs to be cut though and can take some time to work with.

This is was a good tutorial that I found interesting and I've had a friend use it and it proved to be effective.

~FatalDreams~: is there anything else u would suggest for flat parts that are as hard as pvc pipe. another question is how would u put the flat pieces and pvc pipe together without screws so it wont stick me when i wear the armor
