I have a pair of white shoes that need to be painted blue.
What type of paint would work best without cracking?

These are the shoes:

So what do you think?

Fabric paint is most certainly the way to go as it is much more flexible. But paint can still chip off depending on how rough you are with your shoes.

I actually painted my shoes the other day for a costume, and I just used acrylic paint.

I would suggest using an oil based paint, those will NOT crack and adhere to the material. If you goto your local store and look in the spray paint aisle, look for the paint markers.

If you are in Walmart, goto the craft aisle, they have something similar there.

I've used these a number of time, and they will NOT crack ever, but it is possible that if enough friction comes across them, they might fade a bit. And since you are coloring white shoes, you shouldn't have to worry about trying to color 1 color another color.
