:sulk: *facepalm*
Ok...so I'm trying to make Jill's outfit as legit as possible.
In order to do that, I want to have her gun holsters.
I'd like to have the belt to, but I don't have to...I'll live with just the holsters.

The only ones I can find are over $100.
I'm gonna be on an extremely tight budget soon....
Can anyone help?

Can you sew?

I made 20 holsters for a film one time out of heavy canvas and black latex paint. The latex added stiffness to the canvas and helped it keep it's shape, but it remained semi flexible at the same time, it's a good trick if you are on a budget. You can also use craft acrylic paint.

One trick I learned doing it is you need two coats, one coat thinned out a little so the paint is more runny and will go into the fibers and between the seams and once that is dry go over it agin with the thicker paint to give it strength and shape.

I've never made stuff from fabric glue (I've always had at least three sewing machines around) but I suppose the holsters and probably the pouches can be made by gluing the fabric... I have no experience with that but it might be an option if you have no access to sewing. The basic shape of a holster is pretty simple shouldn't be too tough.

Are you working on RE3 Jill or RE1 Jill? The link you posted is inactive so I can't really tell. If it's RE3, it's the shoulder holster but if it's RE1, I think she has the drop-leg holster.

The good news is that there are a variety of places you can go to purchase either holster. You can buy the stuff online or in stores.

Some of the places where I have bought tactical gear from are police uniform/equipment stores, military supply/surplus stores, paintball equipment stores, and gun shops. Keep in mind that all stores will have different prices depending on the type, model, and material of the holster.

Also, another good place I recommend is ebay - there are alot of holsters available. But be cautious of what the listing says versus the picture provided. Some of the sellers post the wrong pictures and or have bad and vague descriptions.

Please PM me if you need any further help or have any inquiries! I'm glad to be of any service! :)
