Uhm, so I wanted to try making the headphones from the vocaloid song 'Magnet'. I've seen lots of other cosplayer's versions and they're pretty easy to make but...I can't find the pattern on the headphone bit! Does anyone have a link to a picture - a clear picture- of the little image on their headphones? It looks like this:

http://media.photobucket.com/image/vocaloid%20magnet/cosplaymoe/Katekyo%20Hitman%20Reborn/magnetparody.jpg?o=4

Thanks

P.s. I hope the link works for you and that I've posted this is the right place!

are you going to draw it on or just glue it?

anyway i can try and crop it out, re a line, and make the background transparent with photoshop for ya

btw will these headphones actually work cause that would be hella SICK :D

Yep I just need the pattern and white feathers. I tried to get the design myself accept it's slightly diagonal. If you could get the pic that would be great. I was planning to draw it.

Thanks

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I didn't want to make a new one.
Does anyone know a brand of headphones that can work for Magnet?
I mean, they need to have that metal connector from that part that goes to your to the earphones itself.
And the microphone needs to be on the bottom of the earphones.
I can't find any. >:

That's the thing sweety those headphones are so friken unique. You can use heaphones that are similar (which is a denfintely but none that has a microphone attach to it. ;_;) and add on the microphone. Sorry i am not that helpful. I mean you could use clip on headphones and build them up that is all i have i know no companies that make headphones like that ><. I mean you can try to look again on Ebay or any other website.

Lol yeah I was going to use a dead pair. The one's that hook onto your ears as the white version doesn't have a band going over the top connecting the headphones (I don't think). Try popping down to the local store and seeing if they had any. I can buy a pair of (crappy) earphones for 99p ($1-2).

Hii Guys~
I'm new on this site and i just have a question about these headphones >w<

you can use clip on headphones and put them inside. or you could tear out the speakers and wires and crap (i would preferably use cheap ones but if you want to risk good headphones your choice). Some body actually on ebay makes headphones like that and they light up

This user has almost every characters headphones that have the MP3/MP4 & Light up head phones. I am not an expert with the techy stuff. (these are abit pricy)

~Here is the tutorials of how to make your own head phones (which i highly doubt you may need this or this may even work) & The how to make light up head phones:

Also another method i'm using for the headphones, is having a clean lineart base of the center piece; made from Adobe Illustrator; I'll post the image.

You can use those transparent plastic colored dividers and either paint the black on or use black craft foam for the wing design.

I made my own Magnet headphones from altoid cans, hot glue, paint, transparent colored binders, sharpie, and wires.

tutorial here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/album.php?aid=135107&id=525528154 it's a VERY ghetto version, but it was relatively cheap. =P

ive made a pair of WORKING banded Miku butterfly headphones. But ive yet to try a non banded version. though its upon my list of things to do. i made mine out of a very thin cardboard and sammiched a layer of painted construction paper between them. they look fine to me though there are some flaws. i intend to make another pair that looks better, that was just a test run.

Ill be attempting Rins Angelic ones starting this weekend, then ill put up another set of photos for you guys as well. Those SHOULD turn out better now that i have an idea of what im doing.

Here's some of the photos of the Butterfly ones alone with a walk through on how I made them. Good luck you guys~ (( node photos are before final paint job and slight changes. NEED NEW PICS XP ))

I found a template on the wings awhile back, but im at school so i cant send you the picture. If you still need a butterfly wing template, PM me and ill send you the link when i get home.
If not... there should be a template somewhere on the internet.

The template is also in this thread xD Fenlaf posted it in the first page. I never am a fan of just buying my props, I like making'em for the feeling of accomplishment :)

For anyone who wants a very clear print of the marks on the side of the headphones.

Here's the clear version of the one posted on the first page. It's yellow because I was making it for Len and Rin. Just use paint and paint the colours differently -3-

It's also sized to fit my headphones, I don't remember what it is because I painted over it ^^;;

The Magnet headphones I have does still work. It's just awkward to wear outside 'cause of the butterfly wings (might rip em off soon since.. it's starting to break away from the headphones).

I'm making my own, I'm not making them to work because the wires would be weird to incorporate into my cosplay. The ones I'm making are really cheap I just used 3 mm craft foam, hot glue, paint, and Jewelry wire. I still need to paint on the silver design though. Here's my progress http://superstarhollyann.deviantart.com/art/Miku-Magnet-Headphones-WIP-2-180172598 I also bough some blue Jewelry wire(not pictured) and wrapped it around the phones. Also I made it so they light up the cheapest way possible. 8 inch glow stick "necklaces" I bought the cheap omniglow pack that costs a dollar for a pack of three at walmart http://www.omniparty.com/glow.php I just cut the connectors in half so the glowstick is more circular. Then I build the foam headphone around the glowstick so it stays on without glue and is interchangable for when they run out. The bracelets would prob work too, they have more colors of that. http://www.omniglow.com/og/index.php/novelty/products/bracelets/P0/
