I've built an Alphonse Armor (Full Metal Alchemist) ... but it's really large, I have no where to store it or keep it.
It's made for someone taller than I am ... I can't wear it myself either.

I don't know what to do with it! The shipping to send it out of state would be over 100 dollars, who wants to pay that? Storing it is pretty much out...

Am I forced to destroy him? What have you guys done with similar items: have you had success selling, what did you do?
I'm almost to the point of giving him away to a good home if anyone was local to me in S. Calif.
Ideas/Advice?

I have a similar problem with my Warhammer 40K Chaplain in Terminator Armor.
I am considering selling it - but I'd arrange with the buyer a "con pickup"... which would be far less costly on shipping.

However, there is something else I was considering. There's a local boutique where I live that sells Gameworkshop products... I want to have a talk with the owner of the boutique to see if we could arrange something. I'd lend him the suit and a "mannequin" so he could display the piece in his shop... and in return I wouldn't have to pay any storage fee.

So - maybe something like this could be done with one of your local shop that would benefit from having a Alphone Elric. You could even consider selling Alphonse to the shop - along with something like a Ductape dummy to display it.

Yeah, I didn't even consider that... talking to a shop, that is. That's an interesting idea!

I have a similar issue, not with armor, but with my Cait Sith costume. It's large enough to take up a good chunk of space in a minivan, and I'm going to be moving to a smaller apartment soon... I don't think I have anywhere to store the bugger for display, Shipping would be awful if anyone bought it, unless they picked it up themselves. :/ I'm thinking that I might have to strip it for parts...

Similar problem with my Nobody Dancer but she can be shipped. Have you tried contacting Queen of Hearts Costumes in Waterloo nyokun? She might have a solution for you.

I'm thinking of that. I've been wanting to check out her store for a bit now anyway. Maybe I'll go on my week off coming up. I would have NO idea on how to propose something like that to her though. ^^() lol
