Okay, I'm reletively new to DIY cosplay (and this isn't totally DIY), but I was just curious on how to turn the white part of the following shoes: http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/23000111/Images/17/jazzerblkwht2.JPG Red? I don't have easy access to a sewing machine, so perhaps something dealing with fabric and glue or actual coloring would be great. And tutorials, all the better!

What is the white part made of? So long as you cover the black with paint tape or something else, they can easily be spray-painted. That's what I did for my Sailor Saturn boots. Regular ol' spray paint from a hardware store. Just make sure if you do that, do it outside and wear the proper attire (old shirt/pants, gloves, mask, goggles) and do it on paper or a blanket so you don't paint your lawn purple like I did DX

Also, I'll warn you mine started to crack, but that's because they're high boots and I don't think I used the best method when painting (leaving them untied and unstuffed; and they were pleather, so that might be a factor).

Well those aren't exactly the most ideal for Grell, given the high stilleto heal and the improper patterning.

But you can paint shoes with fabric paint, or even nail polish.

I would just use watered down acrylic paint - those shoes aren't going to flex much, so I doubt cracking will be a huge issue.

I would not use those shoes, though - they're uncomfortable "fetish" stripper shoes and there are better ones for Grell, that you can find for pretty darn cheap ($10-20) in the Kuroshitsuji thread in the Anime / Manga costumes forum. :)

Probably the cheapest you can find since this style you just can't find in stores since they are a specialty item. I've seen one similar but go for $90 - $120.

Yeah "vintage" boots are not cheap which is why I buy Pleaser even if their is a 20% markup up here in Canada and Duty charges. >_>

They are well built but buy a cheap pair of insoles from a dollar for them as well. High heels at cons are murder.
