Has anyone ever read OR heard of this series? This has to be one of the best four part series I have ever read!!!! It's written AND drawn by HAYAO MIYAZAKI (yes, the guy who animated and wrote "Spirited Away") but yeah this small series was hella good. I read the first book in a day and then I stayed up till 8:00 in the morning finishing the series. It was that good, it had me on the edge.

Yes, I love the series as well. I have the movie on VCD but I haven't had a chance to watch it. It's a truly great story but due to the way it was released no ones read it.

I've seen the movie (not Warriors of the Wind :P) and I absolutely love it. It's one of my very favourite Miyazaki movies.

I've read and own all of the manga, which is my top favorite manga series (well, so far). I LOVE IT. I lent it to a friend a couple of years ago, and when he completed it he came up to me at school, gently put the box set in front of me, said "Miyazaki is god," and then walked away. I think one of the things that I really like about it is that it's the type of comic that you have to absorb as you read. Others like Ranma or Blade of the Immortal (both of which I really like, anyway) make really quick reads, but it takes a while to dig through Nausicaa. It has a lot more, I guess for lack of a better term, content.

I just wish they printed them in a large format like Dark Horse's Akira releases. Some of the illustrations are so detailed!

I also think that the comics are far, far, far better than the movie. Of the Miyazaki movies I've seen, Nausicaa is probably lower on the list than most of the others. But since the topic is on the manga, I won't go into that.

Hells YEAH!! you said it Odin, I was suprised with how long it took me to finish the whole series. Like you said most mangas lack "Content" I remember buying the first three Original Gundam Mangas and I finished them all in three hours, I was wicked dissapointed, I thought from then on all mangas were really quick to read. But this took me 2 days to finish the whole series and that was non-stop reading to................

The Manga is a four part series, each bokk is between 200-300 pages.......it's really good. Now I have to find the anime to make sure it's equally as good as the manga, I'm sure it is from what everyone says.

Let me just say that the movie doesn't even have the Doroks in it.

I know that in Japan Nausicaa was published in seven oversized volumes. I wasn't aware if this was also done in America . . . I only know of Viz's four-book publication.

I found it in the young adult section of my library. I was like, "AWESOME!!! ANIME!!!" So I checked it out. Pretty good. Not as good as Naruto, but pretty good. Who likes the Elder that died in the first book. He owns. Er... owned. Too bad he died. He was my favorite character aside from Teeto. He reminds me of Yoda. Yoda in a KKK robe.
