Well, after doing Gundam cosplays for the past 2 years, I thought I would be done, but I don't think I am, seeing as I can't really think of what else to cosplay, haha! But anyways, one thing that has kinda bothered me is the actual building process, namely in the shaping of the body. In the past, I used boxes that fitted my body the best way possible, but that's not always helped. And a couple days ago, I came up with a possible solution, and I hope I can explain this without pictures. Instead of just using boxes and working with them, my idea is this. Take large amounts of cardboard, and through the process of shaping one piece of cardboard at a time in a series, actually get the form I want through the process of ribbing. In other words, take the shape of say, the lower calf of a gundam leg, and in a series, have these pieces layered in a stack of sorts, to help keep its shape, and at the same time, be more robust than the old way I was using.

Would this be actually beneficial?

I think it would, but wouldn't it take longer? : P!

Probably, but I wasn't planning on debuting it until either June or July of 2010. I know I won't have it done in time for January.
