Hey guys!

So I'm in the process of working on a costume, and my boyfriend told me he wants to go to the cosplay con with me this year. We decided to cosplay as Aisaka Taiga and Takasu Ryuuji from Toradora! (which is awesome b/c it's one of my favorite animes :D ).

Since I'm already busy with my first costume, and we're both in colleges in different states, it's obviously difficult for me to help him make a costume.

I intend to buy a pre-made Taiga costume (her everyday school uniform) which shouldn't be a problem seeing as there's many out there. However, I cannot seem to find a single male school uniform that Ryuuji wears.

Does anyone know where, or even if, I can buy one???

ACOS has a very reasonable liscenced(official) version.

The only downside is that you would need to import it on a bum exchange rate.

Thanks, but I'm looking for the male uniform for Takasu Ryuuji. I've been able to find Taiga's uniform with ease :P

The male uniform is just a regular gakuran ( 学ラン) with no special design... it's the standard school uniform in every junior high school and about a third of high schools in Japan. There's really no need for a character-specific costume. You can buy one on the site I posted before (under "Acos Originals (http://www.animate-costume.jp/anime_list/acos/)") or on amazon.co.jp (http://www.amazon.co.jp/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_3?__mk_ja_JP=%83J%83%5E%83J%83i&url=search-alias%3Dtoys&field-keywords=%8Aw%83%89%83%93&sprefix=%8Aw%83%89%83%93) as a polyester halloween costume.

Just make sure you're looking at a costume and not the real thing. They can run quite expensive, since it's actual clothing... not a costume.

As far as buying something domestically ~ try a search for "gakuran" or start searching more high profile characters who also wear one (most male characters in junior high school settings will).
