Just the other night a rented the new anime movie "Jin Roh". It was by the same creators of Ghost in a Shell, Blood:The Last Vampire, and AKira ( that should tell you something about the movie, ne?) It was so good! It's been three nights and I still go to sleep with it on my mind. If you are into serious anime with serious themes (no, not hentai) then this is a must see.

Do you think Jin Roh was about a man and a woman, or a human and a beast?

Saw it when the director was in Los Angeles a few years ago showing an almost finished cut of the film. It was fantastic. I think it was more about a relationship between a human and a beast that was questioning whether or not to continue to live as a beast.

I'm too sleepy to say anything desperately intelligent, but I adore Jin-Roh. It's so pulled together - artistically, musically, in the script. And a deeply powerful film.

I agree with all above - though the only way I've seen it is DivX on my computer with dual subtitles ;_; ... Deeply powerful, yes, with amazing quality on the art. Truly, I have never seen quality in an anime like I have seen in Jin Roh.

Damn good movie. I liked the whole story of little red riding hood being some what of a plot line for Jin-Roh.
